The actor was about to leave for yoga when her classic rom-com costarring Adam Sandler came on, and she couldn't help but watch it.

Drew Barrymore took an emotional nostalgia detour when The Wedding Singer came on TV as she was preparing to leave for a yoga class.

She couldn't resist sitting back down and taking a trip down memory lane by watching the movie she starred in 25 years ago.

Who can blame her? It's a brilliant and beloved comedy classic, and she and her co-star Adam Sandler were adorable in it.

In the 1998 rom-com, which takes place in 1985, Barrymore played the waitress Julia who develops romantic feelings for Sandler's character Robbie, a crestfallen wedding singer who finds love again with Julia after being dumped at the altar by his fiancée, Linda.

Through tears, a bespectacled Barrymore shared in an Instagram video that the movie started playing on her TV as she was preparing to leave home for yoga.

"I'm taking the next one so I can watch it," she said, with tears streaming down her face.

She gave a shoutout to Sandler in the caption, writing:

"I love you so much @adamsandler."
"The Wedding Singer came on my TV as I was getting ready to leave the house and I had to take in this moment and watch it."

"We made such a good movie. I love you so much. Happy New Year," she said while getting choked up.

Fans were reminded of how good The Wedding Singer was, and they sang their praises.

The film grossed $123 million worldwide and is ranked as one of Sandler's best films.

It marked the first time he and Barrymore collaborated, preceding their follow-up rom-com, 50 First Dates.

The Wedding Singer was directed by Frank Coraci and written by Tim Herlihy, and it also starred Christina Pickles and Christine Taylor.

The movie's popularity in theaters eventually spawned a Broadway musical of the same name in 2006.

After President Donald Trump claimed that his new White House ballroom is "very popular" with the American public, CNN shared a hilariously shady poll that gets to the truth of the matter.

Last year, Trump ordered the demolition of the entire East Wing to make way for a 90,000 square-foot ballroom that will dwarf the size of the White House itself, sparking alarm from historical preservationists and the public alike.

It's well-known across the internet that it takes forever for men to use the restroom. For dads especially, in the time it takes them to poop, when they return to the house, their kids will have aged seven years, and their baby will have learned to walk.

These are jokes, of course, but it's an internet consensus that men spend a really long time on the porcelain throne.

In early 2024, 49-year-old Antonia Eastwood married Ashley Monk after about five months of dating. During the ceremony, Antonia tripped while walking down the aisle.

Antonia and Ashley were both suspicious that she did not trip accidentally and that Ashley's sister, Gemma, actually tripped her. Gemma and Antonia were not close, and the couple also believed that Gemma might be jealous that they were marrying after five months, though she'd been with her childhood sweetheart for 20 years without tying the knot.
