Dan Crenshaw took to Instagram to call out Jesse Watters after he implied Crenshaw was among members of Congress who were illegally trading stocks.

Fox News host Jesse Watters sparked a firestorm after airing a segment alleging potential insider trading among Washington lawmakers. While both Democrats and Republicans were targets, the inclusion of Texas Republican Representative Dan Crenshaw in Watters' discussion resulted in a scathing social media backlash from the Congressman himself.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Crenshaw lashed out in a series of five posts, launching a torrent of criticism at Watters. The Texas representative labeled Watters a "f**king clown," a "f**king hack," and a "dirtbag millionaire."

He didn't stop there, further denouncing Watters as a "mediocre" entertainer, highlighting his privileged upbringing, and even alleging marital infidelity, claiming Watters left his wife with twins "to be with another Fox producer."

While the segment didn't primarily focus on Crenshaw, his name appeared on a chart discussed by Watters.

Though Crenshaw didn't dispute the figures cited, he clarified his investment status, stating he had not conducted trades in over a year and never invested more than $20,000 while serving in Congress. He accused Fox of manufacturing controversy for clicks and challenged Watters to confront him directly when making such accusations.

In his first post, Crenshaw said Watters should "come accuse me to my face," adding that Watters is "desperate for clickbait":

Watters is a tool, making millions to push conspiracies on tv and bash veterans like me who are barely a fraction of his net worth. Wake up America. The political entertainment industry is almost always lying to you.

He later said Watters is part of Fox's crew of "wealthy elitists" in a major criticism of the conservative network:

"I’m sitting here trying to feed my 3 month old and this dirt bag millionaire at Fox is accusing me of being a criminal with zero evidence. Stop watching these mediocre entertainers."
"Stop letting wealthy elitists like [Jesse] Watters claim to be “fighting for you.” They live in Manhattan and can’t stand normal people who live in red states. They think you’re stupid and feed you bulls**t to rile you up."

Then he attacked Watters' commitment to conservative values, noting the circumstances that led to Watters leaving his wife:

"Losers like Watters grew up with a silver spoon. His family is made up of well connected journalists and politicians. And for some reason, people are fooled into believing he’s some genuine blue collar conservative."
"Yeah, he’s such a 'conservative' he cheated on his wife and then left her with twins while he went off with another Fox producer."

He concluded with an attack on Watters' manhood saying he "seems like the type of dude who pees sitting down."

It was a case of conservatives eating their own—and it prompted many observers to criticize both men.

Despite the fiery online exchange, there has been no apparent response from Watters to Crenshaw's social media outburst.

Crenshaw's Instagram Stories, lasting only 24 hours, were captured by J.D. Wolf at Meidas Touch, who noted that despite these attacks, Crenshaw has previously "praised" Watters' program and "has also made appearances on Watters’ Fox News show with at least one within the past year."
