TikTok user @throughlindseyslens recounted how Celebrity Cruise Line lost her luggage in the ocean, only to have it fished out by a port worker in Amsterdam.

A photographer on TikTok was brought to tears after she discovered Celebrity Cruise Line lost her luggage in the ocean.

TikToker @throughlindseylens (Lindsey) was overcome with emotion while telling viewers on the platform that lost items included all of her clothes for the trip, medication, supplements and all her camera equipment.

And the worst part of it all is that the cruise line didn't even inform her of the incident.

Lindsey captioned her TikTok:

"Celebrity Cruises dropped my bag in the OCEAN!"

She added that she uploaded the video when she had service, which was several days later.

The creator explained in her video:

"Celebrity Cruise Line lost my bag in the ocean and didn’t tell me."
"And left it there."

Lindsey said that while she was at the Amsterdam port, the rest of her family received their luggage and she did not.

She continued, saying that the AirTag she had attached to her luggage had stopped working when she tried to find out where her bag was.

The creator also said the first person to contact her about her bags was a port worker.

"No one saw it. No one reported that it was gone."
"If someone hadn’t found it floating in the ocean, I wouldn’t have even known it was gone."

She then shared her frustration that crew workers on the ship didn't believe what transpired, telling her:

"There's no way that happened."

The cruise line staff said they needed confirmation...

"They called my phone number because my phone number is on my bag."
"What more confirmation do you need?"

Several people who were invested in the story also requested an update.

And the TikToker obliged.

A day later, Lindsey shared with her viewers that she is still without her luggage.

It has, however, been "confirmed" that it's still in Amsterdam (with water damage) and will remain there "for nine days."

Fortunately, she has been able to purchase clothing and toiletries and has been issued $400 in credit plus laundry vouchers.

Unfortunately, however, it takes 48 hours for the laundry service

Replying to @♒️🔮☀️🌕 update from july 9th: they will not be returning my bag to me for 8 more days…because I have to retrieve it from amsterdam #luggagelost #lostatsea #celebritycruise #celebritycruises @Celebrity Cruises @Royal Caribbean

We hope she is reunited with her belongings soon. Thankfully, it sounds like it's in the works.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg was roasted online after Meta announced they'll be shutting down Horizon Worlds, part of their virtual reality "Metaverse," this summer after spending close to $80 billion on the project.

The news comes five years after Zuckerberg declared the metaverse to be the future of Facebook, even renaming the company Meta to reflect that vision. In recent months, Meta cut roughly 10% of the workforce in its "metaverse" division and signaled a shift away from virtual reality for its flagship platform, Horizon Worlds, where users interact through avatars.
