Rapper Cardi B, who gave birth to her first child with husband Offset on July 10, has pulled out of an upcoming concert tour with Bruno Mars.

Cardi, who named her daughter Kulture, took to Instagram to explain why she would not be going on tour. In the post she said, in part:

As of today I've decided I won't be joining Bruno on tour this fall. I thought that after giving birth to my daughter, that six weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically. I also thought that I'd be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing. Not only am I just not ready physically, I'm not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it's not healthy for her to be on the road.

For his part, Bruno Mars sent back a message of support, saying:

Most important thing is you and your family's health. You are absolutely doing the right thing. … We love you Cardi and will play Bodak Yellow every night in your honor.

Fans have much love for Cardi B, and support her decision as a mom.

There was also love thrown Mars's way for being so understanding of the importance of motherhood.

There has not been an announcement on who may replace Cardi B on the tour.
