Man Comes Back To His Car To Find An Unexpected Furry Guest Chilling In His AC

Man Comes Back To His Car To Find An Unexpected Furry Guest Chilling In His AC
Tim Whitrow/Facebook

Winemaker Tim Whitrow was spending a pretty typical day out in the vineyard checking on his grapes when he left his car door open so his dog could come and go from the air conditioning as she pleased.

When he got back in the car he had a furry passenger, but it wasn't the dog they he was expecting.

When Whitrow turned around and looked into his back seat, there was a koala chilling back there, presumably enjoying the AC!

Koalas' thick fur and dark gray skin means that they don't handle high temperatures well, and they have even been known to suffer heat stroke and heat exhaustion.

Whitrow couldn't help but snap a selfie with the koala before he attempted to remove it from the vehicle.

Whitrow said on Facebook that it wasn't easy to evict his unwanted passenger.

"As I was moving to another part of the vineyard I noticed that someone else was also in the car enjoying the A/C. It took a fair bit of convincing to get the feisty little fella out."

Whitrow got a pretty fascinating video of the little guy:

His dog Maisie was quite intrigued by the Koala too:

Facebook loved the fuzzy intruder and the way Tim handled it:

It would seem that getting unwanted, mildly violent, koala visitors is a theme in Australia.

Many non-Australians were quite surprised at the koala's behavior.

California Governor Gavin Newsom mocked Vice President JD Vance—and his love of couches—with an AI-generated video to troll him over the rising costs of goods due to President Donald Trump's retaliatory tariffs.

Earlier this week, Trump announced new tariffs: 10% on softwood timber and lumber, and 25% on “certain upholstered wooden products,” set to take effect October 14. The move follows Trump’s announcement last week of additional tariffs on kitchen cabinets, vanities, and other upholstered products, which will take effect October 1.
