All in the family, and the family is all in. featuring Mother and Daughter duo

Connecticut Democratic Senator Chris Murphy said "maybe it's time to pick a f**king side" in response to President Donald Trump's call for a group of congressional Democrats who are military veterans to be executed after they reminded U.S. troops that they must disobey unlawful orders.
Senators Elissa Slotkin (Michigan) and Mark Kelly (Arizona) joined Representatives Chris Deluzio and Chrissy Houlahan (Pennsylvania), Maggie Goodlander (New Hampshire), and Jason Crow (Colorado), all of whom are veterans. In a video message, they noted that the Trump administration is "pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens."
They stressed that "the threats to our Constitution aren't just coming from abroad, but from right here at home, and reminded U.S. troops that they must "refuse illegal orders":
"No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our Constitution. We know this is hard and that it's a difficult time to be a public servant. But whether you're serving in the CIA, the Army, our Navy, the Air Force, your vigilance is critical."
You can see the complete video below.
But this message angered Trump, who took to Truth Social and wrote:
āThis is really bad, and Dangerous to our Country. Their words cannot be allowed to stand. SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR FROM TRAITORS!!! LOCK THEM UP???"

In another post, he claimed this is "SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!"

He also shared a Truth Social userās call to āHANGā these individuals because, they said, it's what former President George Washington would have done.

Trump reiterated that the video message constitutes "SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL" and added:
"Each one of these traitors to our Country should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL. Their words cannot be allowed to stand - we won't have a Country anymore!!! An example must be SET."

Following this, Senator Murphy posted a video message of his own condemning Trump's message and calling on Americans of all stripes "to draw a line in the sand and say that under no circumstances should the President of the United States be calling for his political opposition to be hanged."
He said:
"The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. This is not normal. We cannot allow this to feel normal."
"This, as far as I know, has never never happened before in the history of the country. Every Democratic member of the Senate and the House, their life is in jeopardy right now, especially those specfically targeted by this social media post. Democratic members who were simply saying that no member of the military should act illegally or in violation of the Constitution."
"The President of the United States just called for members of Congress to be executed. If you are a person of influence in this country, maybe it's time to pick a f**king side. If you are a Republican in Congress, if you are a Republican governor, maybe it's time to draw a line in the sand and say that under no circumstances should the President of the United States be calling for his political opposition to be hanged."
"We are in a very dangerous moment right now. The president is engaged in the wholesale incitement, endorsement, and rationalization of political violence in this country. This is a very slippery slope that we are on."
"This is a moment for people to step up, for Republicans to step up, for business leaders to step up. Anybody who has a voice or a soapbox in this country needs to draw a line in the sand and say that it is not acceptable for the President of the United States to call on the murder of his political opposition."
You can hear what he said in the video below.
Others have also sounded the alarm.
The six Democrats who produced the video put out a joint statement, which read, in part:
āWhatās most telling is that the president considers it punishable by death for us to restate the law. Our service members should know that we have their backs as they fulfill their oath to the Constitution and obligation to follow only lawful orders. It is not only the right thing to do, but also our duty.ā
Indeed.

Many of us are taught growing up to give people the benefit of the doubt.
A belief many people adhere to when dating.
After all, as Jane Austen taught us in her immortal classic Pride and Prejudice, first impressions can be deceiving.
Sometimes however, unfriendly men prove to be anything other than a Mr. Darcy.
As a result, giving someone the benefit of the doubt after a less-than-happy first date might prove to have been a bad mistake on the second date.
A recent Redditor was curious to hear about red flags people spotted while dating, which they chose to ignore, but lived to regret, leading them to ask:
"Whatās a dating red flag you ignored and instantly regretted?"

Fairy tales have taught us that we may need to kiss a few frogs before we find our prince.
However, sometimes we should remember the immortal words of Maya Angelou, "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time."
Relationships can dissolve for all kinds of reasons, but a key reason that's become more popular with the prevalence of TikTok and Reddit is not staying with someone who doesn't listen to their partner or prioritize their needs.
Knowing a person's favorite song or how they take their coffee might seem like a mundane thing, but it's an intimate detail that shows that you care about your partner's likes and interests.
Threads user @prissyxoxo25 shared a pair of images on the platform, one featuring a text message exchange and the other showing an engagement ring from Walmart, priced at $898.
In the text message exchange, a man confronts his girlfriend, who turned him down over an engagement ring.
The guy, Tyler, asked:
"I just got to ask, Mani... What happened tonight?"
"I've been planning this proposal for over a year."
"You really told me no in front of everyone? That sh*t crushed me."
His girlfriend, Mani, responded:
"It's not even about embarrassing you. It's about you not listening."
"I've told you the kind of ring I wanted more than once, and you showed up with something from Walmart!"
Tyler focused on the ring:
"So this is about the ring? I still spent $900 regardless of where I got the ring."
"I put so much effort into this for you, for us."
But Mani insisted it was about much more than a ring.
"Tyler, if you knew what I wanted and still chose to do what was easiest, [that] tells me you don't really hear me."
"I want to feel chosen, not just proposed to."
Tyler did not take that well.
"Wow, so everything I did just didn't matter to you, huh?"
Mani set a boundary.
"It mattered... but not enough for me to say yes to a forever I'm not sure you're ready for."

Fellow Threads users were divided over the post, able to see both sides of the proposal gone wrong.
Most agreed with the potential bride. If her boyfriend wouldn't listen to her about this, there's no telling what other ways he might ignore her or her priorities in the future.

But others thought the girlfriend's reaction was a red flag.
Not only did she embarrass her boyfriend and disregard an expensive gift, but they thought she was willing to blow up an important relationship in favor of a material object.

While this might seem to be over something as simple as a material possession, there is something to be said about really listening to a partner and hearing what they want and need.
Even if all of their needs can't be met, acknowledging and knowing what they need and working toward it can mean the most.
All children grow and develop at different rates. Whether they crawl earlier, walk later, have trouble letting go of the baby bottle, or just cannot get behind the idea of mushed green beans, each child will have a journey all their own.
But an experience that more families than not know is the very real attachment many babies and toddlers develop to their favorite beloved pacifier.
With the entire family aware of how much one of their youngest, Savanna, was struggling to say goodbye to her beloved pacifier, they decided to throw a special occasion, specifically a dramatic funeral, for the binkie's farewell.
TikToker @lookitskateeee filmed as the entire family appeared, from little cousins to the family's beloved grandmother, all dressed in black from head to toe.
One by one, the family members walked into the home, all appearing deeply sad, with some women stumbling to walk, as if they lost their coordination in their grief.
One family member was positioned at a grand piano, playing soft and somber music as the other family members walked in single file one by one past the piano, where the dearly departed pacifiers were laid out.
The family even went so far as to create a dramatic program, including information about the pacifier, its importance to their young family member, and a special poem in remembrance.
Savanna's mom and dad then took turns speaking to their guests, thanking them for coming and sharing why this was such an important moment. Two family members committed to the bit by randomly wailing from time to time throughout the service, voicing their grief above all others.
The greatest moment had to be, though, when the family went to the backyard with three black balloons filled with helium. The plan appeared to be to attach one pacifier to each balloon and release them while the family sang the popular Frozen song, "Let It Go," but since the pacifiers were too heavy for the journey, they attached all three balloons to the favorite binkie of the three, singing the song, and watching the three balloons float in the sky, carrying away the old companion.

Fellow TikTokers were tickled by the family's commitment to the bit.

It's a huge deal in many families when their young ones go through a big milestone, and in some families, giving up a pacifier or a bottle is a huge deal and is a sure sign of growing up just a little bit more than the day before.
While this whole event might be over the top for some, it's actually a hilarious and beautiful sign of how united this family is and how they like to celebrate their family members' big wins.
Here's the truth about content bans: when a group moves to ban a book or movie, their claims often make it obvious that they didn't read the book or watch the movie all the way through.
Sure, they read the title, they looked at the cover or poster, and then they let their preconceived notions take over, deciding that this was something that deserved to be banned.
But in the case of Lilliput Church of England Infant School in Dorset, England, it's clear that they may not have even thought the title all the way through. They've banned their students from watching or singing songs from KPop Demon Hunters on the grounds that it promotes demons and is "opposed to God."
After the film became immensely popular on Netflix and across social media, the staff at the Christian school sent a concerned note to the community's parents. The letter claimed that some community members were "deeply uncomfortable" with the content, especially the demon characters, who they "associate with spiritual forces opposed to God and goodness."
Some parents read the letter and did not agree with the concerns, based on their personal experiences.
According to the BBC, one parent confided:
"I thought it was ridiculous. My daughter is very into KPop, and her and all of her little friends love it."
Another parent agreed:
"It's just a harmless, a nice little thing for them to watch to get their confidence up."
The letter received by parents also went viral online, where Twitter (X) users pointed out two core concerns about the school's banning: the core message of the film as well as the title itself.
Some pointed out, like the parents, that the message was uplifting and individualistic, enjoyable for many kids.
Others pointed out that, while the story does contain demons, the point is to fight them.
Since receiving feedback, the staff at Lilliput Church of England Infant School sympathized with concerned parents but did not otherwise change their decision.
"Thank you to those parents who have shared your thoughts around the positive themes you see in 'KPop Demon Hunters' and its music."
"We completely agree that values like teamwork, courage, and kindness are important for children, and itās clear from your feedback that many of you feel songs like 'Golden' have helped your children learn about these themes."
"While we fully respect your right to make choices about the content your child engages with at home, we also want to be mindful of the diversity of beliefs within our school community."
"For some Christians, references to demons can feel deeply uncomfortable because they associate them with spiritual forces opposed to God and goodness. From their perspective, even fictional or playful use of this language can conflict with their faith, which emphasises rejecting evil rather than engaging with it, even in entertainment."
āWe want to reassure you that we are not asking parents to tell their children that there is anything wrong with enjoying the film or its songs if it aligns with your own views and beliefs, and this will not be the messaging we share in the school either,ā the letter continued."
āOur role will simply be to help children understand that some of their peers may hold different views and to explore how we can respect and support those peers in upholding their faith.ā
Every school has rules, and certain material may not always be compatible with those rules.
That said, if school officials ban the content, they should make sure they know what they're banning and whether the accusations behind the ban are actually sound.
