All in the family, and the family is all in. featuring Mother and Daughter duo

A C-SPAN clip has gone viral for showing just how bizarre things have gotten during President Donald Trump's second term, describing just a few of his latest moves that have made people facepalm.
C-SPAN coverage is pretty straightforward and matter-of-fact... but things are so weird right now that even the standard monotone narration one expects can't help but underscore this weirdness.
The voice says:
“President Trump spoke to reporters outside the Oval Office after having McDonald’s delivered via the online food ordering service DoorDash.”
“He then took questions from reporters on several topics, including the ongoing conflict with Iran, and a recent Truth Social Post depicting himself as Jesus, which he denies, saying he thought it depicted him as a doctor.”
You can hear it below.
Indeed, this week, Trump staged a promotional moment in the Oval Office by receiving a McDonald’s delivery, using it to highlight his “no tax on tips” policy. At one point, he attacked Democrats for supporting transgender athletes, who have been targeted by the Trump administration. And yes, he did rant about the Iran war and discuss that Truth Social post.
Last week, the Pope criticized Trump's war in Iran and called on the world "to reject war, especially a war which many people have said is an unjust war, which is continuing to escalate and is not resolving anything."
Trump later took to Truth Social in an attempt to discredit Pope Leo, saying he doesn't "want a Pope who thinks it’s OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon." Among other things, Trump said the Pope should "stop catering to the Radical Left, and focus on being a Great Pope, not a Politician."
He afterward published an AI-generated meme in which he is depicted as Jesus Christ healing the sick. He later deleted it following backlash from his MAGA base.
When asked about it, he did in fact claim he thought the image "was me as a doctor":
"It wasn't a depiction. I did post it and I thought it was me as a doctor and had to do with [the] Red Cross as a Red Cross worker which we support and only the fake news could come up with that one."
"I just heard about it and I thought, 'How did they come up with that?' It's supposed to be me as a doctor making people better and I do make people better. I make people a lot better."
Adding to the weirdness, Vice President JD Vance contradicted Trump, said the image was posted as a "joke," and blamed people “not understanding his [Trump's] humor"–none of which inspires actual confidence in this administration at all.
The C-SPAN clip went viral for its pure absurdity... and people had some thoughts.
This is where we are right now. Trump's America is a very strange place.
Five months into fatherhood, Pete Davidson is folding his new reality into his comedy, but one joke about his infant daughter is igniting a wave of criticism online.
Back in December, Pete Davidson and his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, announced the arrival of their baby girl. Hewitt shared the news on Instagram, posting a series of photos from their first days with their newborn.
The post was captioned:
“Our perfect angel girl arrived 12/12/2025 scottie rose hewitt davidson ♥️ my best work yet, I am absolutely overflowing with love and gratitude and disbelief.”
Scottie is named after Davidson’s late father, firefighter Scott Davidson, who died during the September 11 attacks in 2001.
You can view the post here:
Soon after Scottie’s birth, the 32-year-old opened up about life as a new parent during an appearance on The Tonight Show.
Davidson reflected on new fatherhood during his late-night appearance:
“All the clichés are true. It’s so much fun, it’s nuts. It’s fun to see Elsie be a great mom.”
Hewitt also drew widespread praise in February after sharing her experience with pregnancy and postpartum emotions, as well as her decision not to breastfeed, in a personal essay for Elle.
Davidson has since said fatherhood has made him feel more “primal” and protective, a shift that has already started to shape his material. He recently returned to the stage for the first time since becoming a dad, incorporating his new reality into his stand-up.
During a set at Fontainebleau Las Vegas on April 11, per E! News, Davidson joked about the highs and adjustments of parenting a newborn. While some moments landed, others sparked backlash quickly.
In the recording, Davidson can be heard telling the crowd:
“I haven’t done stand-up in five months because I’ve just had a baby… Yeah, it’s a lot of fun. A little girl.”
However, the tone shifted as the routine continued.
The Saturday Night Live alum delivered a joke that is now drawing widespread criticism:
“It’s weird having a little girl; it’s so hard to watch porn in front of her. But I still did; I powered through!”
Added the new dad, "No, it's great.”
Multiple outlets, including TMZ and Us Weekly, obtained audio from the performance, and the clip has since circulated online.
You can listen to the audio here:
Unsurprisingly, the joke has prompted strong reactions online, with many calling it inappropriate, particularly given the subject matter. Others, however, noted that the comment was part of a stand-up routine, where Davidson has long been known to push boundaries.
You can view the reactions below:

Davidson has not publicly addressed the backlash. BuzzFeed has reached out to his representative for comment.
Davidson is currently balancing his return to stand-up with an expanding slate of film and television projects. He’s set to portray mafia hitman Tommy Pitera in The Butcher: Anatomy of a Mafia Psychopath, a project he has previously described as a “dream,” with production expected to begin in June 2026.
He’s also attached to I Slept with Joey Ramone, a Netflix biopic he will star in, co-write, and executive produce, marking a continued shift into more hands-on creative roles.
At the same time, Davidson appears in the upcoming thriller Bitcoin, directed by Doug Liman and co-starring Gal Gadot, Isla Fisher, and Casey Affleck. Production on the film began in late February.
Davidson is also continuing work on a more unconventional venture: transforming the Staten Island Ferry he purchased with Colin Jost into a permanent, stationary entertainment venue and hotel, another public-facing project that keeps him in the spotlight.
Lovingly known as "Dickie V," Dick Vitale is the longest-running announcer at ESPN, having started with the debut of the program in 1979 and with a contract that will keep him on the announcing panel at least through 2028.
Vitale has been present for some of the biggest moments in college basketball history, his commentary like a soundtrack for those historic moments. Last season, the "Dick Vitale Invitational" college basketball event was even launched in his honor.
Through everything, Dickie V has been very upfront about his love of the game, as well as how grateful and honored he is to still be a part of it and to hold his seat as an ESPN announcer.
This has all been while fighting multiple bouts of cancer. In 2021, Vitale was treated for melanoma, immediately followed by treatments for lymphoma. By summer 2024, he'd also received chemotherapy treatments and radiation for vocal-cord cancer.
Then, in summer 2024, he had to have surgery to remove multiple cancerous lymph nodes from his neck, during which he had to use a dry-erase board to communicate.
Through all of this, the announcer continued in his role as frequently as he could, with the team at ESPN showing flexibility and support that many people could only dream about at their workplaces.
Now, Dickie V is up against The Big C again, this time in his lung and liver cavity.
This week, Dick Vitale shared the following announcement:
"Today, my oncologist, Dr. Brown, informed me that my biopsy results have confirmed a diagnosis of melanoma in my lung and liver cavity."
"I will be starting immunotherapy shortly, and I plan on winning this battle."
He admitted that this wasn't the news he was expecting or hoping for.
"I obviously did not get the report today that I was hoping for when my oncologist called."
"It has been ten days of many exams Pet scan - Cat scan - two MRIs - Biopsy, multiple bloodwork - now at least I know what I have to face."
"The Melanoma Lung and liver cavity cancer will mean I will start IMMUNE THERAPY next week - plan on winning the battle!""
Fortunately, Vitale is optimistic about his prognosis.
"I've beaten melanoma. I've beaten lymphoma. I've beaten vocal cord cancer. I've beaten lymph node cancer."
"I'm four-for-four, and I'm fully confident I'm going to make it five-for-five."
The news was shared on the X platform, where X users loudly shared their support.
Vitale was deeply moved by the support he received and continued to receive.
"I am truly overwhelmed by the love, support, prayers, and messages I've received from so many people."
"I'm incredibly blessed to have my family beside me, and my ESPN family, led by Chairman Jimmy Pitaro, has been absolutely terrific. Their support has inspired me to keep fighting, and I will do everything in my power to win another battle."
"The best news I can share today is this: I feel fantastic."
Since his contract is nearing its end, Vitale's also looking forward to dedicating more of his time toward helping children fight their battles with cancer.
"At 86 years young, I've lived a hell of a life, and I'm more motivated than ever to raise money for kids battling cancer."
"No child should ever have to go through what I've experienced."
"I am grateful beyond words for all of the support I've received, and I'm already looking forward to this year's annual Gala on May 1."
"I really feel we will raise 12 million dollars to add to the 105 million dollars we've already raised, all for pediatric cancer research."
Though it's terrible to hear that Vitale has been diagnosed with a fifth form of cancer, it's said that a big part of beating cancer comes from a positive attitude and mindset, and it's clear that Vitale has that by the bucketload.
Hopefully, he will go through his treatment quickly and will have yet another win to celebrate as he gets closer to a legendary retirement.
This just in: Hollywood's hottest new couple is Kim Kardashian and... Lewis Capaldi?
Okay not really, but the internet thought so for a hot minute after the two were thought to be spotted together at Justin Bieber's Coachella performance over the weekend.
Bieber was one of the hottest draws at the annual festival's first weekend, with everyone from Paris HIlton to Adele being spotted in the crowd.
But perhaps nobody made a bigger splash than Capaldi and Kardashian—except that Capaldi wasn't even there.
The Scottish singer, known best for his ubiquitous 2018 hit "Someone You Loved," isn't exactly the type you'd expect to be dating any Kardashian, let alone the one who is, for better or worse, the most famous, glamorous woman in the world.
Capaldi is known for his deeply emotional, confessional lyrics and introspective work. Not exactly Kardashian fodder, you know? (No offense, Kim.)
So the news of him canoodling with Kim at Coachella quickly went viral, with a lot of people reacting with variations on the theme of, "I'm sorry, WHO was spotted with WHO now?!"
The only problem is, it wasn't true—it was due to a typo by X account @DistinctPost.
In a follow-up post, the account clarified that it had MEANT to write Lewis HAMILTON. The post read:
"Guys it was a typo 😭 I accidentally promoted Lewis Hamilton* to Louis Capaldi 😆"
Hamilton is the Formula 1 driver Kardashian has been rumored to be dating for a while now, especially since she appeared prominently featured at the end of one of Hamilton's Instagram posts earlier this month.
Hamilton is who she was seen hanging out with at Bieber's set, not Capaldi.
But Capaldi, who frequently shows off his sense of humor on social media, took the moment and ran with it with a subtly hilarious joke on X.
In his post, he jokingly confirmed the news of he and Kardashian's supposed pairing, asking for the public to please control their prying eyes and stop with the "invasion of our privacy."
But then the story took it's most hilarious turn possible: A LOT of fans did NOT get Capaldi's joke.
Some of them took his tweet so seriously they actually got salty about it, like one user who scolded Capaldi for expecting privacy during his dalliance with "a billionaire influencer."
Capaldi's response could not have been more hilarious.
And the hits kept coming: The saltier people got at Capaldi's demand for privacy, the more absurd his replies became, like calling another X user "a silly billy."
Capaldi's hilarious replies did nothing to stop the tidal wave of people scolding him for expecting privacy at a celeb-heavy event like Coachella.
And the more people missed Capaldi's joke, the more those who DID get it were absolutely tickled.
The internet may be falling apart at the seams these days, but at least the mishaps are hilarious sometimes!
President Donald Trump appeared noticeably confused after CNN asked him about FEMA official Gregg Phillips' bizarre claim that he once teleported to a Waffle House 50 miles away.
Phillips, a former top Texas health official, was appointed in December to lead FEMA’s Office of Response and Recovery—a division with more than 1,000 employees—despite a background that raised questions. For instance, before taking the role, he had made unverified claims, including allegations about election fraud.
A CNN investigation later found that Phillips had gained prominence less through traditional FEMA experience and more through online posts tied to far-right conspiracy theories, along with instances of violent rhetoric toward political opponents.
Among the more unusual revelations: on a podcast appearance, Phillips described multiple instances in which he claimed to have “teleported,” including to a Waffle House in Rome, Georgia—telling a story in which his sons questioned his whereabouts and didn’t believe him when he said he was there.
Phillips said, in part:
“Teleporting is no fun. It’s no fun because you don’t really know what you’re doing. You don’t really understand it, it’s scary, but yet, um, but so real. And you know it’s happening but you can’t do anything about it, and so you just go, you just go with the ride. And wow, what just an incredible adventure it all was.”
You can hear what he said in the video below.
Phillips later returned to social media to defend his claims, insisting his experiences with “teleportation” were real and rooted in his religious beliefs, while arguing his earlier remarks had been misunderstood.
He brushed off the backlash with a casual “haters gonna hate.” In another post—written in a more reflective, almost poetic tone—he said, “I know what I’ve experienced,” framing the skepticism as people mocking what they don’t understand and invoking Jesus Christ as a parallel, referencing the resurrection.
After being told about the Phillips' claims during an interview with CNN last week, Trump appeared as confused as the rest of us:
“What does teleport mean? Was he kidding?”
“I don’t know anything about teleporting… It just sounds a little strange, but I know nothing about teleporting or him, but I’ll find out about it right now.”
We actually understand Trump's reaction here because if even he is thinking, "What the hell?" then there must be something very wrong with Phillips.
The mockery was swift.
Staff at the Waffle House location Phillips claimed to have visited said they had no record of him ever being there, with one worker telling the New York Times, “I’ve seen it all, but I’ve never seen that.”
Afterward, per a source, officials asked the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to either remove Phillips from his FEMA role or limit his public presence. The department reportedly chose the latter, instructing him to stop posting about “teleportation” on social media.
