After the singer thought she heard a man in the audience of her June 1 show in Las Vegas make the homophobic remark, the singer let them know she was having absolutely none of it.

Singer Adele had the perfect response after she thought she heard a man in the audience of her June 1 show in Las Vegas make a homophobic remark—and on the first day of Pride Month, no less.

Adele paused her performance to address an audience member who allegedly made a negative comment about the celebration dedicated to LGBTQ+ community members and their rights.

Although the heckler’s comment was not caught on camera, Adele responded in a fan-captured clip, saying she heard them say, "Pride sucks."

She responded with the following:

"What was that? Did you just say 'Pride sucks? Did you come to my f**king show and just say that Pride sucks? Are you f**king stupid? Don’t be so f**king ridiculous.”
“If you have nothing nice to say, shut up, alright?"

The crowd cheered, particularly when Adele turned in the direction of the heckler in question and said:

"Happy Pride! Not to you though."

You can hear what she said in the videos below.

Many appreciated the singer's response.

Adele has defended and supported the LGBTQ+ community for years.

Adele has shown her support for Pride events by attending and participating in Pride celebrations. In 2016, she made a surprise appearance at the G-A-Y nightclub in London during Pride Month and expressed her love and support for the LGBTQ+ community.

That same year, following the tragic shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, which targeted the LGBTQ+ community, Adele paid tribute to the victims during her concert in Antwerp, Belgium. She dedicated her performance to the victims and their families, expressing solidarity and love and described the LGBTQ+ community as "soulmates."

In April 2018, it was widely reported that Adele had become an ordained minister in order to officiate at close friend comedian Alan Carr's wedding to Paul Drayton, something which Adele herself subsequently confirmed. The wedding, held in January 2018, took place in the garden of her house in Los Angeles, California.
