There's a new chapter to the story of the hapless host at a Long Island IHOP who turned away Adam Sandler after not recognizing the comedian.

Sandler met up with the host, Dayanna Rodas, at the same IHOP in Manhasset, New York where they had their first awkward encounter. He was just in time for the all-you-can-drink milkshake promotion Sandler had joked about last week.

Of course, Rodas documented the meet-up on her TikTok account.

It looks like it definitely went better than last time.

Couldn’t have been more excited!! Thank you Adam Sandler! #fyp #ihop #milkshakemonday #adamsandler #awesome #viral

Rodas' response to this Sandler encounter was decidedly less mournful than the last one.

She captioned the video:

"Couldn't have been more excited!! Thank you Adam Sandler!"

After the original incident in which she turned Sandler away because there were no tables available, he joked on Twitter he actually left of his own accord because he found out IHOP's all-you-can-eat deal didn't apply to milkshakes.

The iconic pancake house chain took notice, and announced it would hold a Milkshake Monday at all of its Long Island locations.

Obviously, Sandler had to be there, right?

So they brought in Rodas and the comedian so they could reunite for a sweet moment over a milkshake.

Better yet, the whole thing raised money for charity. $1 of each milkshake sold during Milkshake Monday—up to $50,000—went to Comedy Gives Back, an organization that offers support to members of the comedy community in need.

Sandler has been active with the organization throughout the pandemic, aiding its initiative to offer financial support to comedians out of work or in need of medical attention.

Even Sandler's dog got in on all the positivity, as he shared on Twitter.

And on social media, people were loving the reunion.
