"Reddit user Junelady04 asked: 'What’s the worst thing your parents have said to you?'"

Not everybody is meant to be a parent.

In fact, for some people, the most merciful thing to do in life is to abstain from parenthood.

The vile language that some parents say to their kids is heartbreaking.

The movie and book "Precious" happens every day, all over the world.

Young children and adult children are mercilessly subjected to violent rhetoric being tossed at them by the people who are meant to love them most. This is why mental health services should be free from birth.

A deleted Redditor wanted to hear about the horrifying words some kids have heard their parents spew, so they asked:

"What’s the worst thing your parents have said to you?"

OMG!!

"'I hope your wife's cancer comes back and that you somehow catch it.'"

- BabeBelle_

"Holy f**k - I hope you never spoke to that parent ever again after that."

Things Unsaid...

"The worst thing said was things not said. No support, no guidance, no encouragement."

- iammabdaddy

"Being told by my mom that she appreciated that I was "an easy child" really got under my skin. It wasn't easy I was ignored and neglected. I took care of myself because I had to you can't just write off the decisions that were made and say I was an easy child. I'm in therapy now because I can't tell my partner how I feel or what my emotions even are."

- KDneverleft

Sacrifices

"I think it is the constant guilt that they feel saying 'We have sacrificed for you if we wouldn't have you wouldn't be here today.' I understand parents do a lot for children however I would only plan to have a child when I know I am capable of providing for then until required without putting them into a lifetime of guilt that I had to sacrifice because of them."

People Like You

“'People like you die alone on the side of the road.' To 16-year-old me as she was kicking me out. :’) Has stuck with me ever since."

- Vansillaaa

"She seems to be nothing but a psycho b**ch, and this is not anything you say to a child, especially your own child. Parents are supposed to nurture, love, and educate their children. To say a thing like 'people like you' is to me a sign of lacking basic human understanding and respect and she could very well have some diagnosis like sociopathy or psychopathy."

"It still hurts, though. But you are not going to die alone on the side of the road. You are connected to your feelings and you will do the best of your life. Surround yourself with healthy people and consider that mother of yours as dead. Stay away from unhealthy relatives."

- Liselott

Unaffordable

"My family never went on vacations, we couldn't afford them."

"When I was 18 my parents told me that they were going out west to see the Grand Canyon, do some hikes, etc. I exclaimed how cool and fun that would be."

"Then my dad said, 'Oh, you're not going. You're staying here with Sally (16). We're only taking Mary (14) and Jeff (12).'"

"I froze for a minute, trying to compute what he said. 'Why can't we come?' I finally asked."

"'You have summer jobs.'"

"'We can take time off...'"

"'Well, we just can't afford to take you.'"

"They had a really fun time without us. I still think about it over ten years later."

- sweetseductress19

Potential

"'You used to have so much potential that it was scary, what happened to you??'"

- Desperate_Limit_4957

"'You, Mom! Your lack of any decent support or care or even the tiniest shred of I love you, daughter! That's what happened!'"

Off to Thailand

"This cut me so bad..."

"So I moved out to Thailand a few years ago and I’ve worked my a** off to build a business that allows me to live anywhere. I wanted to help my mum and brother do the same so that could be happy and live with me out here. So I set up a business just for them. Made sure they were all in and told them my plan to help them. "

"Then when it came to them actually helping, they started getting bitter and said ‘So we’re going to be working while you fly back off to Thailand… must be nice…'"

"My brother also wanted a PAYING wage for working in his own business before it was even making money. I lost 15k in that situation. And worst of all, I don’t trust my brother and mum anymore."

"Now I’ve pretty much cut them off."

- SupJoshy

It's all Ruined

"My mom called me a miserable b**ch when I was 15."

- Junelady04

"That hurts my heart. It’s pathetic that a full-grown woman would say that to a teenager. My mother is the only person who has called me a b**ch to my face, and she started doing it before I was even in middle school. She could have had a great friend and confidant in me, and she ruined her relationship with her own daughter. She’s very lonely, and I feel sorry for her."

- pennywhistlesmoonpie

Regrets

"'I regret not aborting you.'"

- qumaka

"Yeah, my Mum told me that a few times. Thankfully she didn't, else I wouldn't have been able to look after the house and my much younger siblings when she was depressed."

- Soggy_Detective_4737

"'Don't worry, I won't make your mistake when you're in the nursing home.'"

- xmagusx

Hit Hard

"I remember my mom once said, 'You’ll never be as good as your brother.' Ouch! That hit hard. It took me a while to shake it off, but I realized everyone has their own path. Now, I just focus on being the best version of myself."

Fits of rage

"It's not the worst thing in the world or the worst my father has said to me, anyway. He mainly insults me in his fits of rage or in anger, but he has told me many times and in absolute calmness; 'I stopped liking you when you were six.' This doesn't seem like a lot, but I've been hearing this practically my whole life, and I gained consciousness at that age, so what this essentially translates to is: 'I stopped loving you when you started becoming an actual person.'"

- Dannn9591

"Hey friend, please don’t invalidate yourself. Something doesn’t have to be the 'worst thing in the world' to hurt deeply. No matter how bad something is on the imaginary scale, pain is valid no matter what and you’re welcome to experience it on any level."

- TheRealGongoozler

Many years go by...

"Once I became an adult, had a child. My mother saw me often tell my son I love him. Many years go by. My mother said to me one day, son, you have taught me something, I notice you tell your kids that you love them often, that's great... there I sat waiting to hear it come from her. It took several more years to hear her say it, it was at a point when she was failing physically quite quickly before I heard it. It lost its meaning to me at that point."

- iammabdaddy

Too Late

"In my case, my father has told me that I am not his. My mother told me that I had only brought her trouble all my life. Nowadays they ignore me because they believe that I am to blame for their divorce. Come on, it's too late. Condoms did exist in their time too. They have made the decision to have me, so I don't see that I have any fault. They have never wanted me, let's go. I don't understand how they can be so irresponsible to always be blaming third parties for the shi**y life they lead."

- Sad-Yesterday9252

20 years later...

"I was 15 and getting ready for school. I thought I looked pretty good in this cute purple top and jeans. I went upstairs to my mom’s bathroom where she was getting ready for work. She looked me up and down and asked if I wanted help to lose weight. My self-esteem exploded that day. I didn’t speak to my mom for a week. I never let anyone take pictures of me. I can’t even look in the mirror. It’s been 20 years. Still can’t look in the mirror and think I’m cute."

- Belle430

Weak

"My father told me I'm a disappointment with a weak personality. Not the worst thing he said, but by far one of them."

- orlybatman

"Don’t listen to him. He’s miserable, and looking for someone to shoulder his own shame. I’m so sorry for everything you’ve had to go through with your dad. Take care of yourself."

- ISurvived2NarcExs

Sad Best Friends GIF by Lisa Vertudaches Giphy

I can't imagine having to hear those disgusting things.

I am so grateful for the mother I have.

To all of you victims of this heinous nonsense, I'm truly sorry.

There are good people out there to whom you can talk.

Don't be afraid to ask for a shoulder to weep on or a hug.

And don't be afraid of therapy. It may say your life.

Blessings...

Anti-Trump Stickers Keep Getting Spotted On Gas Pumps—And They're Absolutely Brutal

MAGA Republican President Donald Trump's decision to join Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in attacking the country of Iran directly caused gas prices in the United States to soar and even Trump's MAGA minions aren't happy about it.

Many who are turning their back on Trump have cited the POTUS's negative impact on their cost of living and the influence Netanyahu, himself under investigation by his own country for corruption, has over the Trump administration.

Influencer Jude Cloud revealed in a video message how he ended up discarding the MAGA conservative beliefs he grew up around, describing his evolution from holding “fiscally conservative, socially liberal” ideals to being a "terribly woke" queer leftist.

Trump's AG Sets Off A Firestorm With Claim That Americans 'Want Their Tax Dollars Spent On' Trump's $1.8 Billion Slush Fund

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche is facing heavy criticism after claiming that Americans "want their tax dollars spent on things like" President Trump's $1.8 billion slush fund that may go to his allies and those who participated in the January 6 insurrection.

The Justice Department said last week it was creating the fund as part of a deal in which Trump agreed to drop his $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS. But despite a press release, memo, and a newly-released settlement agreement, many details about the program remain unclear.

Getting a new pet is a big commitment, and when you decide to take the plunge, you should commit to keeping them for their full lifetime.
