Trump Mocked For Awkwardly Disavowing Any Knowledge Of Silk During Diamond's Funeral

During his eulogy for the conservative firebrand, Trump claims 'I didn't know Silk at all.'

Former President Donald Trump gave a eulogy at Ineitha Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway's funeral and managed to be even more awkward than usual.

Diamond and her sister Herneitha Rochelle "Silk" Hardaway Richardson formed the duo "Diamond and Silk"—conservative political commentators and devoted Trump fans.

During his eulogy, Trump praised Diamond—calling her one of the world's "brightest stars" before seemingly saying he previously had no idea she even had a sister.

"You know, the world has lost one of its brightest stars—real star, but I see that we have another star who is equal too but she's stepped up and she is different."
"I’m serious, I thought I knew them both. I didn’t. I knew Diamond but I didn’t know Silk at all. I just learned about Silk."

He then praised Silk as though he hadn't just admitted he had no idea who she was despite meeting her many times.

"You're fantastic. You're gonna carry on beyond ... beyond anybody's wildest imagination."

You can see the awkward moment here:

People were quick to point out he very much did know Silk.

Both sisters visited him at the White House during his presidency along with the many other times he met the pair.

Even Stephen Colbert got in on making fun of Trump, mocking his disastrous eulogy on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Colbert said:

"If you just learned about Silk, I’m gonna go ahead and say you didn’t know much about Diamond. That’s like saying, ‘I’m a lifelong fan of Garfunkel, who’s this Simon I’m just hearing about? Did they do anything together?’"

Of course, Trump wasn't content to simply make a fool of himself by claiming not to know the deceased's sister, he also had to use his time at the lectern to complain about inflation and gas prices and air his political grievances...

...emphasize his own role in planning the ceremony...

...and even complain about the length of the very funeral he was currently participating in.

All in all, Trump's participation in Diamond's fineral could accurately be described as a disaster.

Tucker Carlson Dragged After His Conspiracy Theory Prediction About Trump's Speech Is Way Off

Former Fox News personality turned far-right podcaster Tucker Carlson was widely mocked after he made a bold prediction about what President Donald Trump would announce during his primetime address to the nation on Wednesday—namely that the U.S. would go to war with Venezuela.

But it turns out Carlson was very, very wrong. The speech was nowhere near that consequential and Trump spent the majority of it complaining about former President Joe Biden.
