As the United States experiences a racial awakening following continued worldwide protests, President Donald Trump has made it clear that he is on the side of Confederate statues.

But it's not only statues of slave owners President Trump has vowed to protect. In a recent Trump campaign ad, the President promised a "new" one of Jesus Christ would be safe under his care.

The statue pictured was Brazil's iconic Christ The Redeemer, a massive sculpture in absolutely no danger of being destroyed.

Trump and his campaign were roundly mocked on Twitter.

Christ the Redeemer is in no danger from anybody.

With a pandemic rapidly spreading in America, President Trump is most focused on which statues get to stay up and which don't.

Brazil is just a little bit outside of the President's jurisdiction.

Perhaps there are other things President Trump should be more intent on protecting?

As of the writing of this article, Christ the Redeemer is still standing with no plans to take it down in the foreseeable future.
