Wes Anderson's new feature film, The French Dispatch, starring Tilda Swinton, Timothée Chalamet, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Stephen Park, and Benicio Del Toro, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this week.

The stars were there to mark the event and watch the movie with everybody else, and nobody did the "wholesome friendship" thing quite like Chalamet and Swinton:

The film would go on to receive a nine minute standing ovation by attendees of the festival.

During that ovation, Tilda executed a swift, and incredibly wholesome, prank on Chalamet, where she stuck a sign on his back that said "Tilda Swinton" and turned him to face the camera so that everybody saw it.

Chalamet has endeared himself repeatedly into the hearts of iconic Hollywood stars, such as actress Glenn Close, and into the hearts of millions of people around the world by holding such friendships.

This is likely only to endear him more.

The French Dispatch was originally meant to premiere at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival, but was delayed due to the ongoing pandemic. As such, most of the audience wore masks for the duration of the film.

It will be released in theaters worldwide beginning on October 21, 2021.

If they weren't raised with sisters or female cousins, they could be at a total loss for how to approach this.
