TikToker Eric Goldie went viral after having to slap the hand of a person behind him on an early morning flight who kept trying to open his window shade.

We've all been there —trying to get through a flight surrounded in tight quarters by strangers with sometimes annoying behaviors. Though we typically get irritated, often a gentle request or—if tolerable—just ignoring the behavior does the trick.

But TikToker Eric Goldie was having none of the antics from the passenger behind him as he attempted to rest on an early-morning flight.

Goldie posted a video to TikTok documenting an incident on his flight in which the passenger in the row behind him continued to attempt to open the window shade directly next to him. Goldie took the matter literally into his own hands and repeatedly slapped the passenger's hand away.

You can watch the interaction below.

The video—which has been viewed more than 5.8 million times—raised questions from viewers, but they also laughed at his solution.

Goldie responded to questions from viewers of his first video by detailing the analytics in subsequent videos.

In response to the 50/50 comment, Goldie pointed out where his seat was in relation to the window.

In the next video, Goldie clarified for confused viewers.

Addressing a viewer who theorized that both hands were Goldie's, he pointed out that he was also recording the video, so that definitely doesn't add up.

He also stated that it was a man's hand, not a woman's as many speculated, that he slapped.

Goldie also once again shared how the person reached past his seat to open the window, reiterating that it was not a shared window.

It seems that Goldie's follow up videos did the trick. Viewers commented that they side with "Team Hand Slap."

Woman's Story About Plane Passenger Refusing To Lower Window Shade Sparks Heated Flight Etiquette Debate

Though arriving at a destination can be fun and exciting, traveling itself is often exhausting and annoying, especially when we're made to feel uncomfortable along the way.

TikToker Kelly Meng launched a heated debate on TikTok after she shared a story about taking a 15-hour flight next to a woman who refused to do anything but what she wanted with the window shade next to her.

Ben Affleck Confesses Why He And Matt Damon Added Random Gay Sex Scenes To 'Good Will Hunting' Script

Who knew the iconic line “How do you like them apples?” might be spiritually adjacent to a stack of random gay sex scenes that never made it into Good Will Hunting? At least, that’s how its writers—Boston buddies Ben Affleck and Matt Damon—have described one of their more chaotic attempts to figure out who was actually reading their script.

For anyone somehow unfamiliar with the Oscar-winning Affleck-Damon bromance: the two met as kids in Cambridge, Massachusetts—Affleck was 8, Damon was 10—and grew up a block and a half apart. They bonded over acting, moved in together after high school, and started grinding through auditions.
