We've all been there —trying to get through a flight surrounded in tight quarters by strangers with sometimes annoying behaviors. Though we typically get irritated, often a gentle request or—if tolerable—just ignoring the behavior does the trick.
But TikToker Eric Goldie was having none of the antics from the passenger behind him as he attempted to rest on an early-morning flight.
Goldie posted a video to TikTok documenting an incident on his flight in which the passenger in the row behind him continued to attempt to open the window shade directly next to him. Goldie took the matter literally into his own hands and repeatedly slapped the passenger's hand away.

The video—which has been viewed more than 5.8 million times—raised questions from viewers, but they also laughed at his solution.

Goldie responded to questions from viewers of his first video by detailing the analytics in subsequent videos.
In response to the 50/50 comment, Goldie pointed out where his seat was in relation to the window.
In the next video, Goldie clarified for confused viewers.
Addressing a viewer who theorized that both hands were Goldie's, he pointed out that he was also recording the video, so that definitely doesn't add up.
He also stated that it was a man's hand, not a woman's as many speculated, that he slapped.
Goldie also once again shared how the person reached past his seat to open the window, reiterating that it was not a shared window.
It seems that Goldie's follow up videos did the trick. Viewers commented that they side with "Team Hand Slap."
