Taylor Swift Changed A Song Lyric To Give A Nod To Travis Kelce—And Swifties Lost Their Minds

The singer changed a lyric from her song 'Karma' during a tour stop in Buenos Aires to give a shoutout to her romance with NFL star Travis Kelce—and his reaction was priceless.

Anyone who loves Taylor Swift or enjoys following celebrity news, including hers, knows that Swift has been careful about how much she shares about her relationships. While we might be aware of who she's dating, we may not know much else.

In the past couple of weeks, people have been wondering if Swift was dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Swift has appeared at several Chiefs games recently, always rooting Kelce on, and Kelce also went to her Eras Tour in Argentina.

At her latest Argentina show on her Eras Tour, however, the pair made it as official as they probably could.

While singing some of her Midnights hits, Swift changed some of the song lyrics in her song "Karma," referencing Kelce.

Instead of singing, "Karma is the guy on the screen / coming straight home to me," Swift sang:

"Karma is the guy on the Chiefs / coming straight home to me."

And Taylor Swift's fans, her dad, and Travis Kelce had the best reactions.

You can watch the clip here:

Swift's lyric change resulted in screams from the Swifties in the audience, who were swooning over her reference to Kelce, and Kelce's reaction to her shoutout was equally heartwarming. He was clearly beaming at the recognition, and then proud as he raised his hands and started dancing to the beat of the song.

In another adorable take, Taylor Swift could be seen performing the song, and right after she sang the changed lyrics, she giggled, clearly excited to share her relationship with her audience.

You can see that video here:

Finally, after the performance, the couple shared a passionate kiss.

Swift has rarely kissed her partners in public, and this was the first public kiss or physical contact other than some hugs with the NFL player, making it very obvious to everyone that they're dating.

Some fans were so happy for the couple.

Others swooned over Travis Kelce's sweet reaction.

Some were equally, if not more, touched by Swift's dad's response to the shoutout.

While we may not all follow celebrity relationships, we can all get behind an obviously happy, loving, and supportive couple.

We need more examples of this kind of love, especially in the media, and especially for young people who are much newer to love and not sure what is reasonable to expect. Setting the bar high like this is key.
