Ron DeSantis ally calls Trump's Marco Rubio rally 'an elbow to Ron's throat.'

Former Republican President Donald Trump is scheduled to hold a get-out-the-vote rally on November 6 with Florida Senior Senator Marco Rubio in Miami.

Conspicuously left off the guest list was the state's Governor Ron DeSantis, and his supporters are not very pleased.

According to Politico, the apparent snub riled the Republican Governor's conservative allies who complained that DeSantis' team was not informed of Trump's rally in Miami-Dade County before it was officially announced.

The event will be held on November 6–two days before the 2022 midterm election.

A longtime Republican consultant close to DeSantis noted how any campaign event the Governor holds during the crucial final moments leading up to the midterms will be negatively impacted by the Trump and Rubio event.

The consultant griped:

“You’ve got the Sunday before Election Day totally hijacked by Trump parachuting in on Trump Force One taking up the whole day."
“No Republican could go to a DeSantis event that day. None. And DeSantis won’t be here? This is big.”

Another called the snub:

“an elbow to Ron’s throat.”

Many online had plenty of criticism for the two of them.

Others had faith the Governor already has it in the bag.

There have been indications of mounting tensions between Trump and DeSantis.

Early this summer, DeSantis allegedly declined to ask Trump for a formal reelection endorsement, according to four people connected to the Governor and former President.

The speculation was that the Florida Governor–preparing for a likely 2024 presidential bid–wanted to avoid a potential clash with Trump if he also runs for the White House.

Adding to the friction was Trump slamming DeSantis and accusing him of stealing his plan of shipping migrants to Massachusetts, according to Rolling Stone.

Meanwhile, fans of drama grabbed some popcorn.

Nevertheless, a Trump advisor assured there was no conflict between the former President and DeSantis, explaining that the event was part of a four-city tour ahead of the election.

Said the advisor:

“This is an event President Trump is holding as part of a series of stops he is making for Republican Senate candidates."
“It came after he and Senator Rubio spoke directly.”
