MAGA Reps Get Masterfully Trolled By Hilariously Accurate Sign Outside Trump Courthouse

As several GOP Reps, including Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert, gathered outside Trump's hush money trial to speak to the press, one protester held up a sign behind their heads simply reading 'bootlickers.'

Several House Republicans, including Florida Representative Matt Gaetz, were masterfully trolled by a guy holding a hilariously accurate sign outside the Lower Manhattan courthouse where former President Donald Trump's hush money trial is being held.

The group of lawmakers—which also included Bob Good (Virginia), Andy Biggs (Arizona), Anna Paulina Luna (Florida), and Ralph Norman (South Carolina)—was speaking to the press outside when someone held up a sign behind them with a simple message:

"Bootlickers."

A bootlicker is someone who seeks favor or goodwill in a servile, degraded way—a term that seems rather appropriate for Republicans who have shown fealty to Trump, the first former president to stand trial for criminal charges, during an election year as many vy to be his potential 2024 running mate.

You can see photos of the moment below.

The Biden administration also shared footage of the moment via its campaign HQ X account.

The man who held up the sign was later identified as X user @scottfromnyc79, who in a post to the political satirists The Good Liars said he was "hauled out" after waving his sign.

The sign was pretty accurate as far as social media users were concerned.

Others criticized these Republicans more directly.

The latest crop of Republicans to gather outside the courthouse have followed in the footsteps of Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert, who lashed out at the legal system for having "gagged President Trump," who has repeatedly violated gag orders. Boebert declared that "They didn’t gag me. They didn’t gag the rest of us.”

Similarly, House Speaker Mike Johnson appeared outside the courthouse last week and professed that prosecutors are targeting Trump "intentionally to keep him here and keep him off the campaign trail."

The Republicans' appearance came as Michael Cohen, Trump's former fixer, was cross-examined for his role in a scheme to conceal hush money payments made to adult film performer Stormy Daniels in exchange for a non-disclosure agreement to silence her ahead of the 2016 general election.

Trump's attorney Todd Blanche repeatedly accused Cohen of lying on the stand. Blanche spent hours grilling Cohen, focusing both on Cohen's past misdeeds and the specific allegations of the case, attempting to undermine Cohen’s pivotal testimony against Trump.

Court resumed today with Cohen back on the stand for final cross-examination and possibly a redirect by the prosecution. Judge Juan Merchan told counsel to prepare closing arguments for Tuesday.

People Who Smashed Wedding Cake In Their Spouse's Face Reveal How Their Relationship Is Going Now

According to The Knot wedding resource magazine and website, smashing cake into the face of a spouse after tying the knot is a tradition tied to medieval England. To celebrate the marriage, the bride would toss a piece of piece of cake over her shoulder for good luck.

This evolved into newlyweds feeding a piece of cake to one another, then taking frosting or a small bit of cake and rubbing it gently onto each other's faces—usually the cheek or tip of the nose.

U.S. Army Vet Goes Viral With Blistering Speech Ripping Trump For Deploying Troops To L.A.

A U.S. Army veteran went viral after she spoke out to encourage other current and former military members to publicly condemn President Donald Trump for using them as "pawns" to suit his own ends after he deployed the National Guard and Marines to Los Angeles amid ongoing protests against his administration's immigration raids.

Trump has activated over 4,000 National Guard members and 700 Marines, despite opposition from city and state leaders. He has painted a bleak picture of Los Angeles—claims that Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom say are wildly exaggerated.

Former President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama warmed hearts when they shared the same photo to their respective social media accounts, showing them with their adult daughters, Sasha and Malia, to commemorate Sasha's 24th birthday.

Sasha Obama was born in June 2001, nearly eight years before the family moved into the White House at the start of her father's first term in January 2009. She and her older sister, Malia, now 26, spent their formative years in the presidential residence, growing up there throughout their father’s two terms, until the family departed in 2017.

Trump Dragged After Hilariously Flubbing Insult About Biden's Mental Acuity

The term malaphor means when two or more colloquial phrases or idioms get confused and combined to create something nonsensical. According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), malaphors are a common symptom of frontotemporal dementia or other cognitive impairments.

So when a person seeks to accuse someone of being unintelligent, their use of malaphors is ironic and possibly very telling—narcissists will always accuse others of their own faults and failures.
