The Proud Boys, which the Southern Poverty Law Center lists as a hate group, held a meeting at the New York Metropolitan Republican Club. Founder of the group, Gavin McInnes. was giving a speech there. It did not go well.

McInnes acknowledges he is a white supremacist, having said in the past:

I love being white and I think it's something to be very proud of. I don't want our culture diluted. We need to close the borders now and let everyone assimilate to a Western, white, English-speaking way of life.

He has also said this about Muslims:

[Muslims] have a problem with inbreeding. They tend to marry their first cousins… and that is a major problem [in the U.S.] because when you have mentally damaged inbreds – which not all Muslims are, but a disproportionate number are – and you have a hate book called the Koran… you end up with a perfect recipe for mass murder.

Violence broke out after the meeting was over, and members of the alt-right group were caught on video attacking individuals who may have been part of the resisting Antifa group. The attackers could be heard shouting "Do you feel brave now, faggot?" while chasing down and beating people.

Fox news took the opportunity to claim the racists were being victimized:

Footage coming from people who were there shows a very different story. One Twitter user, Shay Horse, sent out a series of messages as he followed the events.

The city of New York would like help bringing the attackers to justice.

The following video is violent and may upset some people.

People wanted to help Fox News with their false headline and story.

Let's hope the facts come out and the right people are prosecuted.
