Police Blew Up Suspicious Suitcase At Rome Airport—And The Contents Were...Unexpected 😮

comicsands-secure.rebelmouse.com

They say, if you see something, say something. Well, someone saw a suspicious package in the middle of an airport in Rome, and they said something. And it was 'nuts,' so to speak.

Italian authorities ordered the suspicious suitcase to be destroyed. And with no regard for the people within 10 meters (approx 33 ft) away, they blew up the suitcase in the middle of the airport.

What did they find inside?

It was, in fact, a lovely bunch of coconuts.

Freelance journalist Ned Donovan happened to be nearby when the coconut-exploding took place, and documented the entire incident.

And the whole thing has left people speculating. Why was this bag suspect? Who needed so many coconuts?

What exactly went down in the Roman Airport on October 1st, 2018?

Desiccation: "the state of extreme dryness, or the process of extreme drying. A desiccant is a hygroscopic (attracts and holds water) substance that induces or sustains such a state in its local vicinity in a moderately sealed container."

A coconut qualifies as a desiccant.

Someone really must be missing those coconuts right now.

Plus, the miscellaneous questions one has after a mass-coconut explosion are plentiful:

If you've never had a Bounty chocolate and coconut bar, consider this homework.

The other striking part of this story is that the police just...left it all there to be cleaned up.

We hope whoever owns this bag isn't grieving too heavily over the loss of their coconuts. Hopefully they will find a new lovely bunch...and a new bag.

People Break Down The 'Silent Red Flags' Folks Tend To Ignore In Relationships

A red flag has come to mean any warning sign in life, in addition to the literal red flags that are placed on beaches or industrial sites to warn people of danger.

People will respond to situations by saying, "That’s a red flag." But before that language evolved, they'd just call them "warning signs."
