PETA Ignites Controversy After Comparing Dairy Drinkers To White Supremacists

No stranger to controversy, and very publicly against animal products, Peta's recent tweet about milk seemed their standard fare. However, they decided to go one step further from their animal rights message, and instead compared drinking milk with white supremacy.



The tweet links off to a Peta statement which tries to draw connections between the white supremacist ideology and the dairy industry. It would seem the Nazi connection certainly struck a chord with the public.

People on all sides were calling Peta out after the tweet.








Some felt the situation called for a bit of humor.







"PETA is trying to wake people up to the implications of choosing this white beverage and suggesting that they choose something else pronto," the statement from Peta reads. However, if these responses are to be believed, Peta hasn't quite accomplished their goal.
