New Mom Roasts Husband By Turning Things He Said During Childbirth Into Inspirational Quotes

What's parenting without humor?

Many of us have said it's better to laugh than to cry about a tough situation.

That's definitely a vibe new mom and beauty Instagram influencer, Jessica Perez, was channeling in one of her latest Instagram reels.

While giving birth, Perez lived through some of the same experiences many moms live through: changed plans, a difficult labor and an uncooperative husband.

Movies and books always seem to depict husbands and partners as these bedrocks of support, complete with cuddles, snacks and the right thing to say, every time. But that just isn't the reality most of the time.

In Perez's case, her husband was clearly ready for this whole thing to be over with, so they could get onto the next part: sleeping. (And maybe parenthood, too.)

To make the best of the situation, Perez later took to Instagram to share her experience with childbirth. But she didn't just share an image of her giving birth or a detailed post about all the hardships she experienced.

Instead, she selected phrases she remembered her husband saying while waiting for her to give birth and she transformed them into inspirational quotes.

Perez captioned the post:

"Kent. You're the wind beneath my wings. You're strength gives me strength."

Here are a few of our favorites from the Instagram reel.

Who do you think hurts more? The woman in labor or...

"At least you get the comfy bed. I have to sleep on this tiny couch."

Priorities, man.

"Are you almost done? The cafeteria closes soon and they have taco bowls tonight."

Dude, same.

"My back is killing me."

Sometimes you have to be able to laugh at yourself, your partner and the tough situations you go through together.

In fact, being able to do that can be a sign of the strongest relationships.

Trump Slammed After Saying He Feels Bad About Renee Good's Death—But For A Completely Selfish Reason

President Donald Trump was slammed after he told Fox News he feels "terrible" about the ICE shooting deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti but nonetheless said he feels especially "bad" about Good's death because her parents "were big Trump fans."

Earlier this month, ICE agent Jonathan Ross killed Good in her car. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin claimed Good “weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them.”

There's still a lot we don't know about women's bodies later in life, especially when it comes to perimenopause, menopause, and how late into life a woman can become pregnant and carry a baby to term.

Stephen Colbert Reveals Date Of His Final 'Late Show' Episode In Poignant Interview: 'It Feels Real Now'

Yesterday, Seth Meyers welcomed his Strike Force Five podcast buddy Stephen Colbert to Late Night, marking a rare and unexpectedly emotional reunion between the two late-night hosts.

Colbert hadn’t appeared on Meyers’ NBC show in more than 10 years, making the sit-down feel less like press and more like a warm check-in between old friends—just with cameras rolling and the FCC watching… allegedly, of course.

MAGA Actor Dean Cain Slammed After Swooping In To Defend ICE Shooting Of Alex Pretti

MAGA actor Dean Cain, best known for his starring role as the titular superhero in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, was slammed after speaking to TMZ to defend ICE after agents shot and killed ICU nurse Alex Pretti in Minneapolis over the weekend.

Calls for an investigation have intensified from across the political spectrum after analysis of multiple videos showed ICE officers removing a handgun from Pretti—a weapon that authorities said Pretti was permitted to carry but was not handling at the time—before fatally shooting him.
