On Friday, Michael Wolff's explosive new book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, was released and the author went on The Today Show to promote the book. The book's release was moved up from its original release date next week despite a cease and desist order from The White House.

Last night, as The White House sought to discredit Wolff, Donald Trump tweeted:

In response to The White House's concerted campaign to discredit him, Wolff spoke candidly with Savannah Guthrie about the attacks on him and what he thinks about the President of the United States.

You can watch the full interview below:

When asked about the attacks on his credibility, Wolff stated:

"My credibility is being questioned by a man who has less credibility than perhaps anyone who has walked on Earth at this point."

On the subject of what those who work most closely with Donald Trump say about the President, Wolff revealed:

"The one description that everyone gave...they all say he is like a child."

When asked about the names that staffers in the White House use to refer to Donald Trump, Wolff said:

"They say he's a moron, an idiot."

He went on:

"This man does not read, does not listen. He's like a pinball just shooting off the sides."

And on the President's mental fitness for office:

"He's lost it."
