We all have secrets we want to keep from our parents.

Sometimes, however, their exposure is unavoidable.

Such was the case for TikToker @maddiebellefit who put off a teeth cleaning as long as she could to keep this from happening.

The reason? Her mother is her dentist and she had a hidden lip tattoo reading 'daddy.'

Creator Maddie captured the moment her mother discovered the tattoo and posted it to TikTok with the caption:

"The reason I've avoided her work this past year."

First Maddie said:

"I bit my lip really bad."

When her mom moved in to further inspect it, she said:

"She has a freaking tattoo on her lip."

When the reality set in, Maddie's mom began to question what the tattoo said.

"Let me see that you beast."
"What does it say? Does it say f**k you?"
"Does it say Maddie?"

She finally said:

"Does it say daddy?"

Maddie added the word "disgusted" to the screen to describe her mother's expression.

She said yes, "in the moment, she's doing her mom thing," but she actually laughed about it after and thought the original video was hilarious.

She finished by saying all that matters is she loves it and "it was a good memory."
