A mother went viral after she told viewers in a TikTok video she was charged over $300 just to receive confirmation of her daughter's death.

"I lost a daughter in America," said TikToker Linzathy–a.k.a. @whenlifegivesyoulindzes–before revealing the screenshot of the bill she received with a "Hospital Discharge Day Management" charge of $341.00.

The clip, which you can see below, racked up over 3.4 million views.

It wouldn’t let me stitch @thecooljack4 but he’s so right!! This 💩 happened to me. On a seriously note, the #americanhealthcaresystem needs #reform

"She was not discharged, she died. What they charged her for was the doctor coming in because he was not in the room when she passed and him listening to her lack of a heartbeat for less than, like, five seconds," she said.

"So that was like $350, and we had already knew she had passed."

The grieving mother added:

"You would think after spending $2 million on her medical expenses that the death would be free, but guess not."

Not only were TikTokers shocked, but they were also appalled over the "broken" healthcare system in the US.

Linzathy explained in a series of three videos that she lost her daughter to cancer in 2018.

She said her daughter had been looking pale, was tired, and had a rash that wouldn't go away.

Because Linzathy was busy with a college event, her mother took the little girl to the hospital where doctors discovered Linzathy's daughter had low oxygen levels and that something was wrong with her blood.

Later, her daughter was taken to the children's hospital for a blood transfusion.

While there, Linzathy was told her daughter had abnormal cells in her blood, which was later revealed to be due to leukemia.

"That's when I completely lost it," she said after learning of her daughter's grim diagnosis.

"That was the first of what would eventually be many out-of-body experiences."

"I could not stop crying, even though in my head I was telling myself to stop crying," she recalled. "My mind and my body were doing two different things."

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
