Lifetime’s ‘Married At First Sight’ Shawniece Jackson & Jephte Pierre: Everything You Need To Know

Shawniece Jackson and Jephte Pierre are one of three couples this season who become married at first sight on the hit Lifetime show of the same name.

The show goes to Boston this season, it's sixth.

The Married At First Sight pair had a dramatic start to their marriage with lots of ups and downs. From a stripper pole in the kitchen to snooping on each other's phones. Read on for everything you need to know about their relationship.

Shawniece Jackson

Shawniece Jackson, 29, is a successful entrepreneur and cosmetologist. As the oldest of 10 brothers and sisters, Shawniece is used to a full house. She knows she wants a big family. Despite the fact that her parents never married, Shawniece believes in marriage. Shawniece saw what a healthy and happy marriage looks like in her mother's marriage to her stepfather. She is seeking a man who will keep her grounded. Slaziness is her number one deal-breaker in a relationship. She is looking for a man who is hardworking, determined, but who doesn't take himself too seriously. Shawniece Jackson loves a man with a sense of humor who can keep up with her fun personality.

Jephte Pierre

Jephte Pierre is a natural born leader. Also the eldest of a large family of siblings, Jephte took on a more adult role in his family. As a young man, Jephte became a father figure for his 13 younger siblings. Though parents are still together, Jephte is not hoping to emulate their union. He does not see his parent's marriage as the ideal example. Instead, he looks to couples he admires for relationship advice. At 26 years old, Jephte Pierre works in Boston as a second-grade teacher. Probably a natural job for him after helping to raise his younger siblings. Jephte has found dating to be challenging for him, and he is ready for a lifelong commitment. Like Shawniece, Jephte sees laziness as a deal-breaker. He wants to marry a woman who is mature, and free of any baggage from past relationships. In addition, Jephte is looking for someone who is confident and outgoing.

Married At First Sight: Married Life

After a whirlwind wedding when Shawniece Jackson and Jephte Pierre became married at first sight, they traveled to Jamiaca for their honeymoon. There, they enjoyed the sun, with few sparks between them, until coming home to Boston.

As their relationship has progressed over the course of this season, the pair has faced some challenges.

After much anticipation, the newlyweds decided to become intimate with one another. This spurred a conversation where Shawniece Jackson admitted to wanting a more adventurous romantic life in the bedroom. As a result, she tried on sexy lingerie to spice up their romantic life. Unfortunately, the lingerie did not seem to have the desired effect on their relationship. Afterwards, Shawniece installed a temporary stripper pole in their kitchen and performed a routine for her husband. Jephte seed to appreciate her efforts.

Even after Shawniece's efforts for romance, there was some tension that their relationship was not romantic. Shawniece felt unhappy that Jephte refers to her as a friend instead of as a wife.

Later, it became clear Pierre had some trust issues with his Married At First Sight wife. During an exercise where the couples had to trade unlocked phones, Jephte refused. Shawniece was willing to participate and even said she thought Jephte could be her soulmate. She insisted she had nothing to hide. Jephte felt uncomfortable and did not participate. Since Shawniece became upset, Jephte decided to leave their shared home for the night.

Despite this, the Married At First Sight couple did seem very connected as they discussed planning for a family. They both suggested naming a son after themselves. Shawniece suggesting Shawniece, and Jephte, suggesting his first name Jephte. They also discussed other names, including LL Cool J. Ultimately, they compromised by agreeing to have more than one son.

Both Shawniece Jackson and Jephte Pierre are looking forward to creating big families of their own. Will they stay married to create this family together? Only time will tell. One thing is sure: their fans are rooting for the Married At First Sight couple!

People Who Quit Their Jobs On Day One Reveal What Made Them Say 'Nope, Not Doing This'

Every now and then, simply because we need money, we might take a job that doesn't fulfill us in any way, but at least keeps our bank accounts happy.
