On her first day as White House Press Secretary earlier this year, Kayleigh McEnany vowed to White House correspondents that she would "never lie" to them.
She proceeded to break that promise only minutes later, and—like the Trump administration's three press secretaries before her—McEnany continued to lie daily in an effort to defend the administration.
McEnany absurdly claimed that Trump never downplayed the virus that's killed over 300 thousand Americans. She lied that President-elect Joe Biden admitted to facilitating nonexistent widespread voter fraud. She lied that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) pursuing Trump's impeachment through a process laid out in the Constitution was "undoing the Constitution." McEnany continues to peddle the outgoing President's lies that President-elect Biden's win is somehow unconfirmed or illegitimate.
In a recent interview with CNN's Brian Stelter, CNN anchor Jake Tapper noted that he would never book McEnany for an interview because of the effortlessness with which she lies.
Watch below.

When asked about the White House's obfuscation of the truth, Tapper said:
"There are some people that are so mendacious, I just wouldn't put them on air. Kayleigh McEnany, I never booked her. ... These are just people who tell lies the way that most people breathe. There was no value in that."
McEnany was none too pleased to see Tapper's answer, and lied about not lying in response.
This is a therapy session for a broken network, and @jaketapper is lazy enough to participate by lobbing baseless personal attacks, with ZERO evidence.
Jake's real problem:
I do not leak.
I do not lie.
But I DO call out the lies of the media (i.e. CNN Russia collusion hoax!) https://t.co/Gz0RWbwhJZ

People largely agreed with Tapper's assessment.
ALL she does is tell LIES. https://t.co/OfQQVvoFum

Sums you up @PressSec you are the biggest liar, you gave up your soul and your dignity for a creep like @realDonaldTrump https://t.co/WoHgFgsr1i

If her lips are not touching, she is stretching the truth somehow. https://t.co/Em47Ra4Ssv

Jake Tapper is right about Kayleigh McEnany, she is a straight up liar. She is also young and the lies, conspiracy theories, downplaying of the virus and her attacks on our democracy will follow her the rest of her life. Her grandchildren will read about her in history books. https://t.co/TxhGWAjBrh

Tapper went on to contrast McEnany's statements with those of former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway's, whom Tapper said focused more on subject changes and evasion than outright lying.
This was the main point of contention among Twitter users regarding his statement.
I'm not condemning @jaketapper because he's right in how they accomplish it, but KellyAnne and Kayleigh are 2 sides of the same coin. Misinformation. Whether it's whataboutism or lying, it's the same. So, good on Jake keeping integrity on his show as best as possible. https://t.co/vrXd8BCelD

Your right @jaketapper, @KellyannePolls does not "tell lies."
She tells #AlternativeFacts.
How are those not lies?? https://t.co/vTzOpPCx3L

He's wrong about Conway. She lied as much. While she did change the subject, she also told extremely dangerous lies. For example when she said the virus was “contained" early on. She knew it wasn't. She lied anyway. Condescendingly no less.

McEnany's last day as press secretary is January 20th, when the Biden administration begins governing.
