Joe Biden Epically Mocks Reporter's Claim That Trump's Movement Is 'Very Strong'

Joe Biden laughed in a reporter's face after he claimed Trump's political movement is 'still very strong.'

When a reporter suggested former Republican President Donald Trump's political movement was "still very strong" at a press event on Wednesday, Democratic President Joe Biden laughed.

Biden's amusement came after the reporter asked how Biden could assure G7 leaders Trump will not be returning to the Oval Office as President.

The reporter had asked:

“So how do you reassure them, if that is the reason for their questioning, that the former president will not return, that his political movement, which is still very strong, will yet again take power in the United States?”

Biden grinned, raised an eyebrow and humored the reporter with this sarcastic remark:

“Oh, yeah?"

You can see Biden's reaction in the clip, below.

Much of Twitter heralded the return of "Dark Brandon"–the internet's alter ego for Biden which plays on and mocks the right-wing political meme, "Let's Go Brandon."

Biden eventually answered the question by asserting Trump must be denied the presidency.

He told the reporter:

“Well, we just have to demonstrate that he will not take power if he does run, making sure he, under legitimate efforts of our Constitution, does not become the next president again."

The internet joined the President in taunting the presumptuous reporter for insinuating Trump's politial foothold was a strong one.

Biden's appearance in the State Dining Room of the White House on Wednesday followed the midterm elections in which Democrats performed better than expected and averted the the much-hyped Republican "red wave."

While the control of Congress is still in flux, Biden said Tuesday's midterms was a "good day, I think, for democracy" as well as "a good day for America."

He continued:

"Our democracy has been tested in recent years, but with their votes, the American people have spoken, and proven once again that democracy is who we are."

Former GOP Senator Gets Brutal Wakeup Call After Criticizing People For Playing 'Candy Crush' Instead Of 'Making Babies'

Ben Sasse represented Nebraska in the United States Senate from 2015 to 2023. As a Midwestern moderate, the sometimes controversial Sasse was often critical of MAGA Republican President Donald Trump on social media and on the Senate floor.

At one point, the Nebraska GOP censured him because of his criticism of Trump. But Sasse, like Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins, would still vote with the majority of his party when his vote was needed to back Trump's agenda.
