A packed arena for a Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) game in Detroit between Boston and Ottawa turned into a singalong as fans both young and old belted out Swift's hit 'You Belong with Me.'

Regarding the universal appeal of global music sensation Taylor Swift, you don't necessarily have to attend a performance of her record-smashing Eras Tour to enjoy her music.

A viral TikTok video showing a crowd bopping along and singing to Swift's uber-popular song "You Belong with Me" took place at a hockey arena in Detroit, Michigan, demonstrating that even sports fans can turn any venue into one of her tour stops.

TikToker Matthew–a.k.a. @michigankid91–posted a video of him enjoying a can of Labatt Blue and bopping along to the banjo-led country pop-crossover hit at Little Ceaser's Arena on March 16.

Matthew wasn't the only one enjoying the radio-friendly tune. He was joined by the entire arena crowd, who belted out the lyrics to the song.

The venue was hosting a match between the Professional Women's Hockey League's Boston and Ottawa franchises.

"You Belong with Me," Swift's signature song and the third single from her 2008 album Fearless, blared through the speakers during a break in the second period with a few minutes left to spare.

Swift's vocals were drowned out by the female-majority crowd of fans that sang along to the lyrics, depicting the relatable topic of young unrequited love.

Select fans were featured on the jumbotron, joyously participating in the sing-along as the lyrics scrolled across the screen karaoke-style, despite an off-camera person noting that displaying lyrics wasn't necessary for such a popular tune.

When the hockey players returned to the ice and the music cut off, the crowd kept singing acapella.

Because you don't just end a Taylor Swift song without at least getting to the first chorus.

Trump Made A Petty Dig At Taylor Swift During The Eagles' White House Visit—Because Of Course

President Donald Trump was called out after he made a petty dig at pop star Taylor Swift during his speech for the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles' visit to the White House.

In a brief speech, Trump acknowledged the Eagles' 40–22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs was “a little surprising,” a remark that appeared to reference the Chiefs' consecutive Super Bowl victories in 2023 and 2024. He then shifted focus to Swift, getting in a petty swipe drawing attention to Swift's presence at the game to watch her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, play tight end for the losing team.
