TikToker Sparks Debate After Refusing To Help 'Karen' Neighbor Whose Car Is On Fire In Viral Video

TikToker Sparks Debate After Refusing To Help 'Karen' Neighbor Whose Car Is On Fire In Viral Video

We've all heard the saying that "karma comes back around" and negative people "will get what they have coming to them," but that karmic moment usually isn't as severe as a car fire.

For Cindy Liefer—@cindyliefer on TikTok—it actually was, according to a short series of videos she recently posted. Liefer recorded what she believed was karma in process when her negative neighbor's car caught fire.

Having a Karen next door and she doesn’t know how to maintain her car. Karma comes back!! #AEMembersAlways #OscarsAtHome #karen #fyp #deserveadrpepper

Liefer explained in later videos she and her family had always tried to be kind to their neighbor, but it was never reciprocated.

Instead, according to Liefer, the neighbor often tried to start arguments, used their yard for her aggressive dog and demanded things from her neighbors. According to Liefer, no one in the neighborhood liked the owner of the burning car.

Some insisted Liefer should have helped her neighbor no matter what, some of which she responded to.

Liefer confessed to not feeling obligated to help after how her neighbor treated her.

Due to her history with her neighbor, Liefer decided this was a situation that could be laughed at.

Fortunately, no one was in or around the car at the time the fire started, so no one was hurt and nothing that could not be replaced was lost.

Liefer felt she was justified to laugh in the "heat" of the moment, as this seemed to be "carma" working in her favor.

Some TikTokers took a moment to laugh with Liefer about the situation.

Liefer shared three joking videos, the first being of her husband's nonchalance over the situation.

Finally, she responded with another humorous trending sound to the skeptical commenters.

@cindyliefer

Reply to @paigeesterholdt I can be nice and petty. It all depends how you treat me 🤣.

It's understandable Liefer and her husband could have helped their neighbor attempt to put the fire out, but they may have not been able to do it safely.

Also, there's no way to know if helping would have improved or worsened their situation with their neighbor, which after the way they had been treated was something they needed to consider.
