TikToker @funnyphilduck shared a video of his grandmother refusing to answer after being asked who the current U.S. president is during a medical evaluation.

When a healthcare professional tries to determine someone's cognitive abilities, they tend to ask a few routine questions.

These can include "do you know where you are?" and "what year is it?" Oftentimes, medical professionals ask "do you know who the President of the United States is?"

Nowadays, many residents of the United States don't like to be reminded of the answer to that last question.

This includes a woman whose refusal to answer the question has now become a viral video.

TikToker @funnyphilduck recently shared a video of his grandmother amusingly refusing to say the name of our current sitting president during a recent medical exam:

@funnyphilduck

My grandmother would rather be deemed mentally incompetent than answer the question “Who is the president of the United States?” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 #Trump #america #comedy #usa #fyp

While it's not made explicitly clear what @funnyphilduck's grandmother, who is referred to as "Mamma Shirl" in the video, was being examined for, @funnyphilduck's caption suggested that her mental state was being assessed as the video was taken.

They wrote:

"My grandmother would rather be deemed mentally incompetent than answer the question 'Who is the president of the united states?'"

As the one-minute and nine-second video began, two women could be heard off camera encouraging Mamma Shirl to answer the question, as the nurse sitting behind Mamma Shirl could be seen covering her face with her clipboard, owing to her laughing so hard.

But Momma Shirl remained stone-faced and resolute, looking straight ahead and not uttering a single word.

When one of the off-camera voices tried to sway Mamma Shirl from at least saying the first letter of the President's name, she finally found the power to speak.

Although she did not give the answer anyone was hoping she would give, instead merely saying "never."

Everyone else present could be heard in the background, feebly trying to stifle their laughter, as the off-camera voice continued to persuade her to answer the question.

But Momma Shirl remained firm in her protest, declaring:

"I don't like him."
"Name or no name, I don't like him."

The off-camera voice could be heard trying to be sympathetic, but her frustrations could also be heard rising, as she tried to explain to Momma Shirl that answering this question was part of the test, and she had to do it.

Once again, the off-camera voice tried to see if she could at least answer part of the question by asking Mamma Shirl what the President's first name was.

But all Mamma Shirl could bring herself to say was, "nothing."

The laughter in the room could be heard growing in the background, but Momma Shirl made it clear that she was unlikely to give them the answer anyone was hoping to hear.

She declared:

"Sorry, but that's my feelings."

Most of the video's 600+ thousand viewers completely agreed with Mamma Shirl's sentiments, saying that her refusal to say the President's name made it clear that she knew the answer to the question, effectively resulting in her passing the test.

Others, including numerous medical professionals, expressed how her hatred of our current president made it abundantly clear that she was of perfectly sound mental state:

As noted by viewers of the video who also happened to be healthcare professionals, it is clear that Mamma Shirl was well aware of the answer to the question, and thus must have been completely within her faculties when this video was taken.

Based on the laughter heard in the background, one can also safely assume that everyone else in that room didn't mind terribly not hearing the President's name either.

That leaves one to wonder how eager they would all be to answer the same question should the tables ever be turned.

Guy Admits His Ignorance After Girlfriend Educates Him On What Really Happens During Menstruation—And He's Horrified

Women's health should be much more common knowledge than it is, but many subjects related to women—especially menstruation, pregnancy, and childbirth—are still considered pretty "taboo" subjects in public spaces, in shared educational spaces, and, of course, among men.

That's why there are so many men like TikToker @connortalkslol who only start finding out what menstruation really is and what the cycle entails when they go looking for the information themselves.
