Guests visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida were in for a treat when they ventured through the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail and saw the resident primates captivated by the presence of a snake.

The extensive research-based gorilla habitat has a tropical landscape – complete with tall grasses, shady trees, and waterfalls – in which the intelligent primates play and interact with each other "just as they would in the wild."

This week, the resident gorillas had a new playmate when a baby snake somehow wandered its way into their enclosure.

The curious gorillas looked mesmerized by their tiny intruder and went to dig through the hay it had burrowed in for a better look.

A video of what must have been a huge highlight of the gorillas' day was posted on Bearded Kraken's TikTok page and went viral with over 1 million likes.

You can see the video, titled, "Gorilla VS Snake," here.

The clip started with one gorilla sitting in front of the glass window and noticing the slithering intruder. The snake hid underneath a pile of straw in the corner of the enclosure, prompting the other gorillas – including a silverback – to get a closer look.

One young guest was heard exclaiming, "there's a snake!"

In response to the action, an unseen cast member explained:

"Just like humans, our gorillas are very curious about what goes on in their habitat".

The remaining portion of the video was of the gorillas throwing around the hay, hoping to see more movement from the elusive reptile.

But alas, the anticlimactic ending left online viewers disappointed after being captivated by the three-minute-long video.

They wondered where the time went when it was over.

Though an anticipated smackdown never happened during the encounter, park guests seemed more thrilled by it than they would be standing in an 80-minute queue for the park's headliner attraction, "Avatar Flight of Passage," in the popular Pandora – The World of Avatar section of the park.
