The former GOP Rep. took to X, formerly Twitter, to roast Swift's supposed endorsement of President Biden in the upcoming election—and was promptly roasted right back.

Embattled former GOP New York Representative George Santos was dragged for taking a swipe at global superstar Taylor Swift with a joke about her possibly endorsing Democratic President Joe Biden.

Swift, who is currently on the international leg of her record-smashing Eras Tour, has not yet officially announced her pick for a 2024 presidential candidate, though she did favorably endorse Democratic President Joe Biden in 2020.

However, on Super Tuesday, Swift encouraged 282 million of her Instagram followers to make their voices heard at the polls come November, saying:

"I wanted to remind you guys to vote the people who most represent YOU into power."

On Saturday morning, Santos interpreted Swift's politicking as a Biden endorsement and wrote on X (formerly Twitter):

“I see @taylorswift13 endorsing @JoeBiden for president."

He then made a cringey joke referencing the singer's heartbreak songs—songs that resonate with millions of fans.

"I mean I see how this makes sense since 95% of her songs are about choosing the wrong guy," he said, adding:

"I guess we can all expect a Taylor Swift revenge song on Biden in 2025...”

People thought Santos' "choosing the wrong guy" remark was rich considering his political shortcomings that led to his ouster from Congress after facing 23 criminal charges that included theft, fraud, and money laundering.

Nice try, George, but thanks for playing.

Earlier this week, Trump made headlines for claiming "no one knows what magnets are" during an Oval Office exchange. He has also continued to attract attention for falling asleep during events.
