After an early photograph of "The Queen of Disco" Donna Summer resurfaced on Twitter this past weekend, fans couldn't believe the resemblance between the "Last Dance" singer and former Destiny's Child Kelly Rowland.

And now they want a biopic.

It all began when Florida based music critic Craig Seymour posted a vintage photo of the late great singer, found in a 1979 issue of Rona Barrett’s Hollywood to his Twitter page.

After seeing the young portrait of the legendary singer, Kelly Rowland's fans were quick to point out the uncanny physical resemblance between the two beautiful and iconic singers.

The striking resemblance between Summer and Rowland—both Grammy award winning singers—led to other fans begging for a biopic, with Rowland playing the "Hot Stuff" legend.

In addition to her time with the now legendary Destiny's Child and a fairly successful solo career, Rowland is no stranger to acting.

Rowland has appeared on screen in such films as Freddy Vs. Jason, The Seat Filler and Think Like a Man.

Should the fan's wishes come true, it would be the first time the "Bad Girls" singing sensation was portrayed on screen.

Summer's life was previously dramatized in the Broadway musical Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, where Tony award winner LaChanze, current West Side Story star Ariana DeBose and young Broadway up-and-comer Storm Lever all portrayed the disco icon during different stages of her life.

For her part, Rowland has yet to comment on the recent fan outcry for her to headline a Summer biopic.

However, based on a 2019 appearance on Watch What Happens Live!, it seems Rowland has been waiting to produce and/or star in a Donna Summer biopic for some time.

When asked by Andy Cohen if Rowland would be interested in commissioning a Donna Summer biopic for herself, she thanked fans for "reminding her for the 100th time" before declaring, "It's time."

Well, if it was time nearly three years ago, it's way past time now.

Hopefully 2022 will bring good news.

Okay at this point I think it's time we get a memo to the Sesame Street characters to stay out of sports commentary!

Because just weeks after Elmo became public internet enemy #1 for refusing to back the Knicks in the NBA playoffs, now Cookie Monster has egg on his face. Or cookie crumbs, as it were.
