Disneyland's Viral Evil Queen Confirms She Was Let Go After 8 Years—And Fans Are Devastated

Sabrina Von B. recently confirmed to People that she was let go from playing the Evil Queen at Disneyland in California after 8 years—but she says it was still a "dream" and an "honor."

In the past few years, there's a reason why so many people have saved up money to go to Disneyland despite this economy, and it has nothing to do with Mickey Mouse or the princesses.

Rather, it was because of the Evil Queen from Snow White, who was lovingly nicknamed "La Reina," which means, "The Queen" in Spanish.

In 2025, rumors began to spread that the Evil Queen would not be removed from the Disneyland experience, but her role would be reduced to only appearing during Fright Fest leading up to Halloween.

Fans were up in arms at the idea and frequently approached the Queen to ask her thoughts on the matter.

She urged people to speak up if it was a change they did not want to see.

"Tell them you want to see me, specifically, all year round."

The Evil Queen became well known for her quick wit, smart and sharp conversational skills, and her insults to the public.

From commenting on people's appearances to calling them peasants, it was clear that it was part of her character and all in good fun.

But her legacy came to a swift end when it was announced that her time as Disneyland's Evil Queen had ended with the arrival of 2026.

Now that she's stepped out of her character, the actress behind the iconic Evil Queen has come forward to reveal herself, and she's available for new acting gigs as Sabrina Von B. on TikTok.

Von B. revealed herself in a side-by-side video. At the start of the video, she shared two photos of herself standing on the Disneyland property in front of one of the castles.

The text on the screen read:

"Told 'em I worked for Disney."
"[They asked,] 'Oh, which princess were you?'"

The rest of the video was then a montage of moments of her as the Evil Queen that had appeared on TikTok since 2019, including her throwing insults and flipping her magnificent cape over her shoulder.

Sabrina Von B. has since spoken to People about her eight years at Disneyland and how she often stepped into other roles, like Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent and even Agatha Harkness from Agatha All Along and WandaVision.

Von B. was emotional and incredibly grateful for her time at Disneyland.

“It was a dream getting to do my own spin on a character that really wasn't popular or viral or well-known before videos of me really started going around. I read a lot of comments about people saying they would've never loved this character, but now it is their favorite character."
"That really was an honor to be able to bring a Disney villain to life, and also not be evil, but put a more comical spin on it and create joy for people and make people smile, all while being a villain, was very rewarding."
“I don't take it lightly that these experiences that I created for people are stories and things that they will take with them, for years to come, and hopefully make them like villains more and get on the side of villains and not just be scared of them."

It was especially rewarding to Von B. to connect with fans during her time on set.

One particularly fond memory was of a mother and daughter who came to see her year after year, starting when the daughter was just a baby in a little villain dress.
"The next year they came back, and the baby was walking, and it's always crazy to look up and see a guest and remember them, and look at their child and see how much they've grown."
"Over the span of my eight years, I got to see this mother and daughter almost every year. I got to watch the little girl grow from literally a baby in her mom's arms to an eight-year-old little girl in a little Evil Queen dress."
“I'm very grateful that these parents allow me to be a part of their child's life, and they love how I am with them, and it's really an honor."

While she was the beloved Evil Queen at the park, her fans' love for her turned into many viral videos on TikTok, and the virality made it difficult to keep her identity a secret, threatening the magic that Disneyland wanted to keep alive.

“With Disney, it is a bit scary because they want to protect the magic, and in the comments, people were trying to get my identity."
"It is scary because Disney wants to protect the magic, and I'll say that I protected the magic all the way until the end, and I never came out publicly and said like, 'This is me,' or anything until they ultimately let me go. That's when I spoke out publicly on it."
“The virality and all the videos and people loving the content have always just made me feel really honored that I get to make people love such an iconic character and that I feel like what I'm doing is making a difference and putting a smile on people's faces."
"I'm very grateful that those videos live on, on the internet. It was surreal then. It is surreal now, and I really will never live down that feeling for sure."

The former Evil Queen might be grateful for her time at Disneyland, but her fans are not ready to see her go, leading to countless "Justice for the Evil Queen" and "Justice for La Reina" TikTok videos.

With so many people saving up money to see the Evil Queen, maybe Sabrina Von B.'s curtain call came a little too soon.

Fortunately, she can look back on all of these experiences with fondness and gratitude, and we have no doubt that there is greatness in her future.

Tim Walz Has Epic Clapback After Nancy Mace Asks Him To Define 'Woman' During Congressional Hearing

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz had a splendid response after South Carolina Republican Representative Nancy Mace attempted to claim that his support for transgender women would bar him from recognizing fraud in his state.

Walz's appearance at the hearing comes amid conservative claims—offered with little supporting evidence—that Somali-run childcare centers in Minnesota improperly received public funds intended to support childcare for low-income families. Subsequently, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the FBI expanded their presence in Minnesota as federal authorities froze childcare funding statewide.

Elmo Just Asked His Followers 'Where Have You Been?'—And Zohran Mamdani Had The Purest Response

Elmo, the furry red childlike monster from Sesame Street designed by Caroly Wilcox, began his life as a generic "baby monster" background filler in the 1979-1980 season of the long-running children's television program.

Originally having a gruff voice supplied by various puppeteers, Elmo found his falsetto-voiced, loving persona when Kevin Clash took over in 1985. Elmo was transformed into a three-and-a-half-year-old character designed to connect with the show's audience of preschoolers.
