Macaulay Culkin Throws His Support Behind Viral Petition To Edit Trump Out Of 'Home Alone 2'

Macaulay Culkin Throws His Support Behind Viral Petition To Edit Trump Out Of 'Home Alone 2'
20th Century Fox

As the House of Representatives prepared to impeach Republican President Donald Trump for a second time Wednesday, some Home Alone fans online started a half-joking petition to have the President edited out of Home Alone 2.

A few accounts also suggested Trump's cameo should be digitally replaced with an older version of actor Macaulay Culkin, the star of the film.

The petition gained some unexpected traction when it picked up a key supporter—Culkin himself.

Culkin also applauded some amateur efforts to remove Trump from the infamous clip.

Twitter was able to come up with several pleasant alternatives to Trump's appearance in the classic movie.

President Trump also happens to be the first castmember from Home Alone 2 to be impeached twice.

There are many people viewers would be excited to see in Trump's place.

It's not uncommon for an actor's politics to hurt their Hollywood career.

If movie magic is still alive, then it seems it's time to put it to work in removing the President from a beloved Christmas movie according to fans.

Twentieth-Century Fox has not officially commented on the petition as of this writing.

Someone Hacked Crosswalks In Denver To Play Hilariously NSFW Anti-Trump Messages—And It's Brilliant

Hackers changed the messages on some newly-installed crosswalks in Denver, Colorado, to play messages criticizing President Donald Trump—to the delight of anti-Trumpers.

She said the password has now been changed and officials “don’t expect a repeat situation" at these locations.

Kevin Hart Shared A Video Of His New Wax Sculpture Likeness—And His Reaction Is Priceless

Creating wax figures of celebrities and historical figures should be one of those things that, if you can't do it right, you probably shouldn't do it at all.

Though there have been some examples of successive likenesses, like the recent Harry Styles world tour, most celebrity renditions inevitably have something about them that looks a little... off.
