Ted Cruz Instantly Fact-Checked After Lying About Biden's Response To Attack On Israel

Senator Ted Cruz blatantly lied, claiming Joe Biden took 'days' to say the U.S. 'stands with Israel' after the attack by Hamas, and got fact-checked by X notes.

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz was called out for lying about President Joe Biden's Israel response, claiming it took Biden "days" to say the United States "stands with Israel" after it was attacked by Hamas. His post was swiftly debunked thanks to the Community Notes feature on X, formerly Twitter.

Hamas initiated a shocking attack on Israel over the weekend, prompting Israel to declare war and retaliate. Israeli authorities have reported dozens of captives held hostage in Gaza, although precise numbers remain unconfirmed. Hamas claimed on Sunday that it was holding more than 100 hostages.

Cruz then used the lie to promote Verdict, his podcast where he appears to be spending more time than his actual job in Congress.

He wrote:

"I am glad that he finally said it, but it's important for Americans to understand why it took him that long. On Verdict, [co-host Been Ferguson] and I discuss how the Democrats are beholden to Israel-hating leftist activists."

You can see Cruz's tweet below.

But a Community Note pointed out just how wrong he was:

"Here is video of Biden speaking where he states clearly: "Let there be no mistake, the United States stands with the state of Israel."
"CNN also reports Biden saying: “The United States stands with Israel. We will not ever fail to have their back.”"

You can hear Biden's actual remarks on the day of the attack in the video below.

But the Senator lied again about what is an obvious fact:

"The community note is FALSE. Biden said (in the article cited) "I made clear to PM Netanyahu that we stand ready to offer all appropriate means of support….” “ALL APPROPRIATE MEANS OF SUPPORT” is not "America stands with Israel. Period. Full stop."
"As I explained in the pod!"

You can see his post below.

Cruz was swiftly criticized.

Biden's response to Israel's most devastating terrorist attack has garnered unexpected praise from surprising quarters. Even those with historically opposing views have commended his unwavering support for Israel during this critical period.

Biden's response, which included a speech condemning the Hamas attacks that claimed over 1,200 Israeli lives and a swift offer of military aid, has garnered significant accolades. The presence of Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Israeli soil reinforced the administration's support.

Tucker Carlson Dragged After Offering Truly Bonkers Theory For Why Trump Captured Nicolás Maduro

Former Fox News host turned far-right podcaster Tucker Carlson raised eyebrows after he claimed that President Donald Trump captured Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro in order to bring same-sex marriage to the people of a country now in a dangerous state of flux after the U.S. invaded.

Weirdly, he claimed “pro-gay forces” were secretly driving regime change, pointing to Nobel Peace Prize recipient and opposition leader María Corina Machado's support for same-sex marriage. He suggested this is proof that "globo homo," his term for progressive liberal elites, are hard at work.

Married People Explain How Often They Take Their Wedding Ring Off

When two people get married, there's an assumption that others tend to make: that the couple will wear their wedding rings no matter what, and if they don't, it's a sign of a troubled marriage and a lack of commitment.

But there are lots of reasons not to wear wedding rings full-time, from cleanliness to safety to health concerns.
