Conservative parents berated the popular children's group after they posed for a photo with the singer during a festival in Australia.

Conservatives were outraged after the popular children's group The Wiggles posed for a photo with singer Lil Nas X during a festival in Australia.

The Wiggles coyly "asked" their Instagram followers whether a "New collab [is] in the wind?" in a caption of a photograph showing them posing with Lil Nas X. Yhe rapper and fashion icon has been a favorite target for conservatives due to his stance as an openly LGBTQ+ Black musician with unapologetically liberal politics.

You can see The Wiggles post below.

News of the collaboration was teased for some time.

In April 2022, the Wiggles tweeted, "We're ready to wiggle with you!" in response to a post Lil Nax X made about wanting the group to "coheadline the tour with [him]."

But this doesn't mean the news was well received by everyone.

Conservatives have reserved special vitriol for the rapper since the release of his song and video for “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” in which he gives a lap dance to the devil.

Many conservatives pushed back against the announcement.

The devil—or at least their idea of one—was on one conservative Twitter user's mind when they tweeted:

"Lil Nas X has put human blood into 666 pairs of his design for Nike shoes and is now planning to collaborate with The Wiggles."

You can see their post below.

The post quickly caught Lil Nas X's attention and he tweeted:

"What's the problem[?]'

His fans loved it of course and quickly came to his defense.

The news of Lil Nax X's collaboration with The Wiggles comes as he continues to build buzz for his next studio album.

The rapper has already released two songs, "Late to da Party" and "Down Soul Hoes," though not much else, only saying the album would be "something fun, something for the summertime, something for the girls to get ready and party to."
