After Hudson asked Common if he is dating anyone, he responded by acknowledging how he's 'in a relationship that is with one of the most beautiful people I ever met' without naming names—and fans got the feeling he was talking about Hudson.

After months of ignoring speculation, Jennifer Hudson and Common finally confirmed their relationship status.

Well, kind of...

Common appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Monday, and his response to the host's question about his love life more than fueled the dating rumors.

Hudson welcomed her guest with a freestyle rap:

“He got an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, y’all, he’s an EGO.

The "one and only legendary" rapper joined the host on stage, gifting her a gigantic bouquet of flowers.

After casually discussing their shared Chicago roots, Hudson got "down to business," asking the rapper:

“Are you dating anybody?”

And his response absolutely melted viewers.

Common replied:

“Yes, and I’m in a relationship that is with one of the most beautiful people I ever met — in life."
"She’s smart. She loves God. She has something real down to Earth about her. She’s talented.”

He continued:

“But I set my standard kinda high because she had to have an EGOT. She had to win an Oscar on her first movie."
"I set my standard high. She had to get her own talk show."

Hudson secured her elite status as a member of the EGOT club in 2022 when she won a Tony as a producer of A Strange Loop. In 2007, she won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Dreamgirls, her first ever movie.

Common then inquired about Hudson's status:

"Wait, what about you, though? How’s your love life?”

Interestingly enough, the Oscar winner revealed she, too, is in a "very happy" relationship.

“I’m dating as well, and I am very happy."

Common acknowledged:

"Seeing her happy actually makes me really happy."

Swoon.

Elon Musk Cries Racism After Associated Press Explains Why They Capitalize 'Black' But Not 'White'

Elon Musk has spent the year picking fights, from health research funding to imagined productivity crises among federal workers and whether DOGE accomplished anything at all besides leaving chaos in its wake.

Marvel Just Confirmed That Chris Evans Is Returning For 'Avengers: Doomsday'—And Fans Have Mixed Feelings

Folks, once again, continuity is more of a suggestion than a rule in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel has officially confirmed that Chris Evans is returning as Steve Rogers in Avengers: Doomsday, and the internet has responded exactly how you’d expect: screaming, celebrating, arguing, and a very justified side-eye toward how Sam Wilson keeps getting treated.

The confirmation comes via a teaser now playing exclusively in theaters ahead of Avatar: Fire and Ash. There is no official online release, despite leaks circulating. If you didn’t catch it on the big screen, Marvel’s response is essentially: sorry, guess you had to be there.
