DC Comic fans are overjoyed with the recent news in the new Batman: Urban Legends #6.

Trusted sidekick Robin is bisexual.

Tim Drake is the true identity of the current masked Robin who, in the August 10th issue, rescues his school friend Bernard from a cult called The Chaos Monsters. During their fight against the cult, Bernard confesses attraction for Tim, not knowing it's Tim behind the costume. In that moment, Tim realizes he reciprocate those feelings for Bernard.

In the scene, Tim as Robin thinks:

"Ever had a lightbulb moment?"
"Like something out in the ether has been taunting you. Teasing you."
"Like you know you're supposed to be on the same page with your brain but not everything made sense?"
"People ask me what I want."
"Oracle. Dick. Steph. Even Connor."
"But I couldn't grasp it. Whatever it was, it always just felt out of reach."
"Until now. Until right now."

The comic ends with Bernard asking Tim on a date, and Tim happily accepts.

ComicBook.com reports Tim hasn't chosen a label for his sexual identity, but he is in fact attracted to multiple genders. Some people choose to identify as bisexual while others describe themselves as pansexual.

Even so, that's not stopping fans from cheering for this LGBTQ+ representation in the DCU.

Thanks to the writer Meghan Fitzmartin with artist Belén Ortega, colorist Alejandro Sánchez, and letterer Pat Brosseau, fans finally have an openly bisexual character in the Batman universe.










Tim Drake also continues to live on past the comic book series in Titans on HBO Max.

His character will be played by Jay Lycurgo.
