The awards show failed to include the 'I Want Candy' singer in their tribute after his death at age 34 in November of last year.

People are speaking out after Aaron Carter was noticeably missing from the Grammys' touching "In Memoriam" tribute that included Loretta Lynn, Jeff Beck, Fleetwood Mac's Christine McVie and Migos' Takeoff among others.

Fans of the late singer are outraged Carter was excluded from the tribute after his death in November of last year at 34 years old. Carter released his first album at age nine and rocketed to stardom with his hits "I Want Candy" and "Aaron's Party (Come Get It)."

More recently, Carter was on Broadway, cameoed in several reality shows and released an EP. Several of his songs were posthumously released for streaming.

Many of Carters fans took to Twitter to honor him and call out the Grammys for not including him in the on-air tribute.

Though Carter was not featured in the on-air tribute, his name was included in the memoriam tribute section in Sunday night's program book on page 191.

A source told HuffPost:

"There are hundreds of names to consider and it's always a tough call for the people who put the show together."

Other noticeable omissions from the on-air tribute include Thee 6 Mafia's Gangsta Boo, rapper Lil Keed and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Hawkins, however, was honored by Trevor Noah during last year's Grammys.
