Woman Surprises Her Parents With Her Acceptance Into Med School In The Most Adorable Way

Woman Surprises Her Parents With Her Acceptance Into Med School In The Most Adorable Way

Limayre Mendoza surprised her parents with her acceptance into medical school, and she used her daughter and a Barbie Doll to break the news.

In a video uploaded to video last week, Mendoza's daughter, Gabby, can be seen giving her grandfather a doctor Barbie doll.

There is a message written on the box that reads:"Mi mami va ser Doctora" ("My mom's going to be a doctor.").

Mendoza's father says, "Seriously?" and jumps up to hug his daughter. Her mother is next, and Mendoza reveals that she received her acceptance letter just the day before.

Check it out:

Speaking to Mashable, Mendoza said she knew she wanted to be a doctor as early as the third grade, adding that "what really solidified my decision was seeing how much medicine impacts the community."

Mendoza's daughter was born when she was 17 and she started college when the girl was a month old:

"They were definitely many challenges. I would use my breaks in between classes to pump breast milk for the next day and of course I worked full time to be able to provide."
"I graduated in 2016 with my bachelors in biology. But unlike a traditional pre med I did not get accepted in a program until almost four years after graduation."
"Prepping for things like the MCAT and shadowing experiences was just something I could not do while in undergrad due to my circumstances."

Mendoza, who is married and now has another child, describes Gabby as her biggest cheerleader:

"The next couple of years are going to be really rigorous and life challenging but Gabby and I have a unique bond because of it. She has witnessed the hours I have had to spend away from her just for this moment but she never reprimands me for it. She's really my biggest cheerleader and is so understanding in spite of her young age."

Mendoza now has cheerleaders from around the globe––her post took off.

And hey, it looks like there's at least one woman on the same path! (Awesome!)

Mendoza was overwhelmed by the responses she received.

Congratulations! We look forward to seeing the words "Dr. Mendoza" in the future!

Jasmine Crockett Calls Out Trump's Hypocrisy By Pointing Out How Melania Got Her Visa

Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett pointed out President Donald Trump's hypocrisy on immigration considering how First Lady Melania Trump's pathway to citizenship was possible because she received an "Einstein visa," which is usually reserved for an individual with "some sort of significant achievement."

Speaking during a House Judiciary Committee hearing titled “Restoring Integrity and Security to the Visa Process,” Crockett noted that “the idea that Trump and my Republican colleagues want to restore integrity and security in the visa process is actually a joke," and harshly criticized the Trump administration's immigration crackdown and visa restrictions.

Fox Host Comes To Reporter's Defense After Pete Hegseth Berates Her At Pentagon Briefing

Fox News' chief political analyst Brit Hume came to the defense of Fox national security reporter Jennifer Griffin after their former colleague, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, criticized Griffin as the reporter "who misrepresents the most intentionally what the president says” in a Pentagon news conference.

Hegseth, a former Fox News anchor, had criticized media outlets—including his former network—for what he described as unpatriotic reporting. Hegseth took particular aim at early intelligence assessments suggesting that President Donald Trump's bombing of Iran may not have significantly crippled Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

Fox Host Slams Dem For Dropping An F-Bomb After Praising Trump For The Same Thing Just Minutes Earlier

Fox News host Emily Compagno was criticized after she praised Donald Trump's use of the "f-bomb" earlier this week before condemning Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett's use of the same word—on the same episode of her show, no less.

Trump made headlines this week after admonishing Israel and Iran for violating a ceasefire agreement he'd announced on Truth Social. Although he claimed the ceasefire had been "agreed upon," Iran fired at least six missile barrages at Israel after it was supposed to take effect.
