Following President Donald Trump's latest physical examination, the White House was called out for using its official X account to gloat about his "perfect bill of health."
Trump, who turns 80 next month, said on social media yesterday that “everything checked out PERFECTLY” following the fourth publicly-disclosed medical examination of his second term. It was not immediately clear whether the White House would release detailed findings from the president’s physician to back up the claim or specify what tests were included.
In a post captioned "PERFECT BILL OF HEALTH," the White House included a graphic of Trump that was overlayed with his Truth Social post announcing:
"Just finished my 6 month physical at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything checked out PERFECTLY. Thank you to the great Doctors and Staff! Heading back to the White House."
You can see the post and the graphic below.

That doesn't make any sense given all the criticism Trump continues to face for obvious signs of age-related decline.
Last year, rumors swirled that Trump was on his deathbed after he wasn't seen for several days and the White House cancelled his public appearances, a development that fueled speculation in large part because of Trump's recent health problems, which include a diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency and sightings of a harsh bruise on his hand.
However, both hands have since been photographed sporting noticeable bruises. Earlier this month, Trump had people talking after both of his hands were shown covered in heavy makeup during an event to honor military mothers.
Although presidents typically provide public health updates after routine screenings, the level of detail disclosed varies by administration. Under Trump’s second term, those medical updates have become increasingly brief and less detailed.
Following Trump's first physical of his current term in April 2025, the White House published an extensive medical summary that included Trump’s height, weight, blood test results and a list of medications he was taking.
By July 2025, however, the level of detail had narrowed: after Trump was evaluated for swelling in his legs, the physician’s memo disclosed a diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency and outlined the tests performed, but did not include the underlying results. The October 2025 update was even less specific, omitting details about the advanced imaging scans and laboratory tests the president reportedly underwent.
Notably, some physicians have noted that advanced imaging would not typically be part of a routine physical for someone showing no symptoms of a possible heart condition.
We haven't even touched on Trump's cognitive fitness, but considering he continues to make erratic (and ironic) statements about presidential candidates needing cognitive exams, it's clear these criticisms bother him.
The White House was swiftly called out.
Regardless of what the White House says, Americans are not buying it.
White House spokesperson Davis Ingle said in a statement that Trump "is the sharpest and most accessible President in American history who is working nonstop to solve problems and deliver on his promises, and he remains in excellent health."
However, an April poll conducted by The Washington Post, ABC News and Ipsos found that fewer than half of American adults believed Trump possessed the mental acuity or physical fitness needed to serve effectively as president.
