People Explain Which Things They Are A Complete Snob About

I love to read and I love films and filmmaking. You best believe I still collect physical media –– it's fantastic. I like actually owning something I'm passionate about, for starters. And as a big movie buff, not everything is available online or via streaming services!

I probably would find myself right at home in the mind of Redditor BobcatBuckeye, who asked the online community, "What are you a snob about?"

it turns out there's plenty, and people have their reasons. Read on!

"I don't understand..."

I don't understand how people can't tell the difference between aspect ratios and just sit through the whole movie with it wrong.

"If your bathroom..."

Bathrooms. If your bathroom is disgusting we cannot be friends.

"It doesn't have to be expensive..."

Coffee. It doesn't have to be expensive stuff but my god you can taste when it's cheap.

ShockCloud

"Not at all."

Interior design. No vertical blinds. No toilet seat/tank covers. No pedestrian "Live. Laugh. Love." signs. No builder-grade anything. It doesn't have to be expensive. Not at all. But it has to be thoughtful.

"I'd rather..."

Sushi. I don't want a "good deal" on sushi. That actually terrifies me. I like top quality fish. I'd rather eat sushi less than go to a bargain restaurant.

Duderino619

"Wearing clothes..."

Wearing clothes where I am an advertisement. Sorry Old Navy and Abercrombie.

milvanhouten

"I pride myself..."

I pride myself on my ability to cook a damn good steak. I have completely stopped eating steaks at restaurants because every time I do I think "I could have done better and it would have cost half as much."

Buwaro

"I once made an impassioned speech..."

Penguins at Christmas time. Penguins live in Antarctica, people! I can accept the whole flying reindeer and Santa crap, but including penguins is just crossing a line. It makes no sense!

I once made an impassioned speech about this at the office Christmas party, and now I get penguin themed gifts, cards, and wrapping paper at every opportunity.

IrianJaya

"I will drink..."

Tea. I prefer to drink loose leaf tea. Unsweet if it's a pure tea, lightly sweetened if it's a flavored tea.

I will never drink tea from tea bags.

I will drink brewed unsweet tea from restaurants if it's the only non-soda option. If they accidentally give me sweet tea, I'll drink it because it's not worth complaining, but I really prefer unsweet.

I will NEVER drink tea from McDonalds, as they burn their tea then add too much sugar to hide the burnt taste.

meow_witch

"I would never willingly..."

Restaurants. I would never willingly go to an Applebees or Olive Garden. I like trying new places to eat and am not afraid of spending money. It's like a hobby.

The Men's Hockey Team Just Let Donald Trump Wear One Of Their Gold Medals—And The Jokes Came Pouring In

President Donald Trump was widely mocked after the U.S. men's hockey team arrived in Washington fresh off their victory at the Winter Olympics and handed him a gold medal to try on.

Trump has been flattered with gifts and cozied up to by energy lobbyists in recent months—he even received a "peace prize" from FIFA once upon a time—so his reaction here is really something.

Jon Stewart Says What We're All Thinking About Kash Patel After USA Hockey Locker Room Video Goes Viral

After FBI Director Kash Patel made headlines for chugging a beer and wearing a gold medal in the locker room of the USA Men's Olympics Hockey team following their gold medal win at the Winter Olympics, Daily Show host Jon Stewart mocked him profusely, saying what we're all thinking about the display.

In footage circulated online by William Turton of ProPublica, Patel appears to down a bottle of beer, throw his arms up, and slam his fist on a table in celebration. Moments later, Matthew Tkachuk of Team USA is seen placing his medal around Patel’s neck, after which Patel joins the victorious hockey players in singing "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue" by Toby Keith.

Former 'Jimmy Kimmel' Writer Epically Fires Back At 'Bruised Skin' Trump In Blistering Congressional Testimony

Bess Kalb, a former writer for Jimmy Kimmel Live!, criticized President Donald Trump during a hearing on Capitol Hill called “Silencing Dissent: The First Amendment Under Attack,” saying the president is the program's "best and worst audience" with "inexplicably bruised" and "very thin" skin.

Kalb's appearance is no accident given how much Jimmy Kimmel Live! has offended Trump's sensibilities over the years—and how he tried to pull it off the air last year.
