Who doesn't love a truly creative Halloween display?
Residents of Grantsville, Utah, were divided over a recent scene that included three skeletons and a ... street sign.
While skeleton tableaus are common lawn decorations in the weeks approaching Halloween, this display was a bit different. It featured two skeletons in beach chairs, watching a third skeleton hanging upside down from the aforementioned street sign, wig dangling, clearly portraying a pole dancer.

The town of Grantsville issued a warning on their public Facebook page, in a post that has since been deleted, saying that the people who were responsible for the display needed to take it down by that evening, or the city would come and take it down for them—and confiscate the skeletons.
The city code they referenced? Not one against lewd displays, but one concerning what they can legislate: what people attach to city property—in this case, street signs.
"To the person responsible for this display:
You have until 9pm tonight (October 18) to take down your decorations or they will be removed by the city and you will have to pick up your items at our Public Works Building. Displays like this are not acceptable as it is against city code to attach anything to a street sign."
