Keith Urban Has Blunt Reaction To Radio Hosts Asking Rude Question About Nicole Kidman

The hosts of the Australian radio show Hayley & Max in the Morning got a brutal wake-up call after asking Keith Urban a very personal question about wife Nicole Kidman's sex scenes during an interview.

Country star Keith Urban may be married to one of the biggest movie stars in the world, but that doesn't mean he'll tolerate an invasion of privacy.

The singer had a very clear and blunt response to some radio hosts in his native Australia when they asked a prying question about his wife, Nicole Kidman.

Urban was having a great time chatting with the hosts of Hayley & Max in the Morning on Adelaide's Mix 102.3 FM—until the interview suddenly went very left with a question about Kidman's sex scenes.

The question was part of a segment called "Wall of Truth" in which hosts Hayley Peterson and Max Burford ask a tough question or two that the guest has to answer no matter what.

The segment seems designed to get info about the more personal side of celebrities' lives, but it became very clear that Urban wasn't interested in playing the game once he heard the question.

Buford asked Urban what he thinks when he watches Kidman's intimate sex scenes.

Buford asked:

“What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV?”

Seemingly before Buford even finished asking the question, the line went dead as Urban seemed to have hung up on their Zoom call, leaving the hosts in shock.

A producer chimed in to say:

“I think his team hung up on us because they didn’t want us to ask that question."

Buford remained non-plussed, pointing out that Urban was smiling the entire time they spoke.

But Peterson then pointed out that Urban is pretty well known for not liking to get too personal about Kidman.

“I know, but he doesn’t like the personal stuff! Oh, I knew that would happen. … He doesn’t like talking about his wife.”

Buford said later after a commercial break that he'd been "ghosted" by Urban's publicist, suggesting that his PR team was now icing out the show over the personal question.

On social media, most people were firmly on Urban's side and applauded him for seemingly refusing to answer the question.

An unnamed source supposedly close to Urban told People, however, that Urban did not hang up on the hosts and called the controversy a "complete nothingburger."

They also implied that the cut-off was due to technical difficulties, saying that Urban does not host his own Zoom calls for interviews.
