Trump Escalates Feud With RNC In Late-Night Email Telling Supporters To Donate To Him Instead

Trump Escalates Feud With RNC In Late-Night Email Telling Supporters To Donate To Him Instead

The feud between the Republican party and their former head, Donald Trump, continues to escalate over Trump's primary concern: who's getting donor money.

Trump sent a cease-and-desist letter to the Republican National Committee last week demanding they stop using his name in fundraising emails.

The RNC responded by saying it would continue to use Trump's name, claiming their right to do so was protected by the first amendment.

Now, Donald Trump has escalated the issue further, sending out a late-night email asking supporters to donate their money directly to him instead of to the RNC.

In his email, Trump attacked "RINOS" (Republicans In Name Only), which he has used as a stand-in for Republicans who do not support him.

The former President's team wrote:

"No more money for RINOS. They do nothing but hurt the Republican Party and our great voting base – they will never lead us to Greatness."

Twitter found the GOP fight over money pretty hilarious.

Many suspected Trump originally entered the 2016 race to make money and that pattern has continued for years.

The RNC recently announced it would be holding a portion of its April retreat at Mar-a-Lago and paying Trump to appear at the event.

It seems, even out of office, Donald Trump is trying to squeeze every dollar he can out of the GOP.

Donald Trump has always cared more about money than any particular ideology. That doesn't seem to have changed now that he's out of office.

Clinton argued that Biden's first significant error was deciding to seek a second term after initially presenting himself as a bridge to a new generation of Democratic leadership.
