TikToker's Attempt To Grab 'A Few Quiet' Drinks Turns Into Super Costly 11-Hour Alcohol Binge

"I'll just go out for one drink" is the famous last words we all swore we would never mutter again after our college and younger 20s days. But sometimes, a surprise bender still sneaks up on you from the darkness.

As TikToker @thatamariano found out, it's always when you least expect it--and it always fully and completely empties your bank account out for every cent you are worth.

@thatamariano That's what they said… ##Ireland.!

The video shows an incredibly long itemized receipt courtesy of the Railway Bar in Drogheda, a town north of Dublin, where the folks certainly did not have "a few quiet" drinks, as the original poster, or OP, of the video, said they invoked.

Instead the party knocked back close to 700 Euros worth of beer and liquor, making for one hefty night on the town.

According to the OP, six people managed to run up this tab, and drank over the course of 11 hours: from 1 pm to 12 am.

"My bank account is also feeling hungover as well cause it was my treat," OP further clarified.

Most TikTokers were absolutely not-shocked by the sheer volume of the bill, attributing it simply to the OP and friends being Irish, or else relating solidly because they, too, have gone on a near 700 Euro bender with alcohol.

The 679.90 Euros tab they racked up would run you $800.24 in US dollars--can you imagine picking up the tab at a local bar for that amount of money for you and your friends?

All we can say is, stay safe on Saturday nights, folks.

Kids Can Press, the Canadian publisher behind the beloved Franklin children's books, condemned Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in a statement after he shared an AI-generated image of Franklin the Turtle to justify his attacks on alleged drug-smuggling vessels in the Caribbean.

Hegseth's original meme, which he inexplicably captioned "for your Christmas wish list," features a doctored book cover titled Franklin Targets Narco Terrorists and shows Franklin, the protagonist of the popular Canadian children's book series authored by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark, firing a bazooka from a helicopter at boats in the water below.
