In the run-up to the 2016 election, Donald Trump and Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz were anything but friendly.

Trump referred to Cruz as "Lyin' Ted," called his wife ugly, and implied Cruz's Cuban father was involved in the JFK assassination.

The future President also commented:

"[Cruz is] a nasty guy. Nobody likes him."
"Nobody in Congress likes him."
"Nobody likes him anywhere once they get to know him."

The GOP Senator would also describe Trump as a "pathological liar" and a "sniveling coward."

But once Trump won the presidency and the support of Cruz's conservative base, however, Cruz quickly backtracked on his earlier comments and became one of Trump's most ardent defenders.

Even now, after Trump was voted out of office, Cruz took a trip down to Mar-a-Lago to kiss the former President's ring.

He shared a picture from the meeting on Twitter.

Twitter users were hard-pressed to think of a photo they liked less than this one.

Since Trump was voted out of office, making the trip down to Mar-a-Lago to show they still support him has become a standard Republican pilgrimage.

At least it's nice to know Cruz harbors no hard feelings for Donald Trump calling his wife ugly.

Twitter loves to make fun of hypocrisy from politicians but photos like this make it almost too easy.

Of course, a fair share of Texans online could only think about removing Cruz from office upon seeing the photo.

Donald Trump may have been voted out of the White House but at least he still has his awkward fans.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
