Turns Out We've Been Saying Rihanna's Name Wrong This Whole Time—And Fans Are Not Okay

Well according to Rihanna herself, that's actually not the right way to say her name.

In a video posted to British Vogue's Twitter account, Rihanna identified herself as "Ree-ANN-uh".

Yikes.

We've been saying it wrong for at LEAST 14 years, considering her first hit single, "Pon De Replay," came out in 2005.

But, to be fair, she did tell HLN's AJ Hammer how to say her name in 2012:
