Reporter Gets A Hilariously Wet Surprise After Not Realizing She's In The Direct Path Of A Sprinkler

Anything can happen to a reporter who is live at the scene—including being interrupted by an onlooker wanting their five-seconds of fame.

Or in this case, getting showered by an irrigation sprinkler from afar. 


Global News New Brunswick's Shelley Steeves—that's Canada, not New Jersey—was reporting from a field to discuss how proper irrigation results in thriving crops and was oblivious of the sprinkler that was making its way toward her from behind.

Consequently, she got a surprise and the internet got a giggle. 

Global News posted a brief clip on their Facebook page as a reminder that "reporters should always be aware of their surroundings."
