Parents Outraged After Café Uses Image Of Peppa Pig To Promote Their Bacon Sandwiches

Parents Outraged After Café Uses Image Of Peppa Pig To Promote Their Bacon Sandwiches

According to some parents, Gordon Street Coffee in Edinburgh, Scotland was completely tactless when they used cultural icon Peppa Pig to try and sell some of their sandwiches.

Not just any old sandwiches--bacon sandwiches. And bacon is made from--well, you get the issue.

The sign that Gordon Street Coffee put up admittedly does look like they are going to be cooking Peppa Pig--or at least putting her in the sandwich.

The graphic has reportedly sparked the ire of local parents, who think the sign could be traumatizing and upsetting to children.

"Even if you are not vegan or vegetarian that could be really upsetting," one said.

"My kids would be absolutely traumatized if they saw that sign, it's really not funny."

Another said that seeing Peppa representing a food item would "make a lot of children question food. I support that but damn this is pretty sick."

Peppa Pig is a cultural icon in the UK as well as in the USA, featuring her (secretly very tall) family and friends.

In fact, she is so popular in the USA, that children have unexplainably begun speaking with British accents in the USA.

Gordon Street Cafe has not commented on their use of Peppa.

MAGA Rep. Ripped For Changing Story About Why He Sleeps In His DC Office To Fit Trump Agenda

Tennessee Republican Representative Tim Burchett was criticized for claiming that he "lives" in his office because of crime in Washington, D.C., even though he gave a completely different reason earlier this year to explain how he maintains productivity.

Burchett's remarks came as President Donald Trump federalized the Metropolitan Police and deployed about 800 National Guard troops to the nation’s capital this week while claiming crime in D.C. is "out of control" despite falling crime rates.

Sorbo gripes about Vikings cheerleaders

American actor and sudden cheerleading morality police Kevin Sorbo appeared to spontaneously combust online when the Minnesota Vikings announced the addition of two male cheerleaders to their 2025 squad.

Born in Mound, Minnesota, Sorbo has long cultivated his brand of brawny, bicep-flexing alpha male heroics—playing Hercules in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Captain Dylan Hunt in Andromeda, and starring in the 2008 parody Meet the Spartans, where he famously shared an on-screen kiss with Sean Maguire’s King Leonidas.
